Down by the River
They whined about Toby Reider not putting up enough points and then they go and sign a guy that took 82 games to get his first goal. https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/ypygb7/riley-sheahan-couldnt-score-all-season-but-got-the-final-goal-at-joe-louis-arena

Popular Post theo5789
These signings demonstrates the value of the defensive center and why having good bottom 6 centers are important. Teams can try for budget options like this, but they rarely work out. This is why we paid more of a premium to get one of the best in Beagle and having another in Sutter is only more valuable (when healthy of course). Ideally you develop your own, but when you don't and you need to dip into free agency, you have to pay for quality. Hopefully Sutter has a good season and he can become a commodity that will be valuable enough to get a decent return. Sheahan has stuck around for the last little bit simply because teams against the cap are looking for this solution. Hopefully for him it works in Edmonton, but hopefully for us he doesn't so Sutter has that much more value.

King Heffy
If he wants to prove he can help an NHL team, why would he sign in Edmonton? Spector isn't making any sense here. 1
DADDYROCK
Now that Edmonton has rid themselves of that big goof Lucic, they have all sorts of cap options. However, one little ding to Connors bad knee could end their hopes quickly. No McDavid and they haven't seen how seriously ugly their team can really be.

Makes 100% sense... if he plays well in deadmonton why wouldn't he be able to perform on a better team?

One would think he would have signed with an NHL team in that case though.

Unfortunately Chiarelli is no longer the GM. I would think Holland is a bit more savvy.
