Entering the offensive zone on the PP seems like a challenge again.  :picard:

It's because Hughes is being told to listen to the system. When he abandons it, we enter the zone. When he listens to Brown we can't enter because the coach doesn't understand that the play is contingent on speed with the drop pass.

???????

It's clearly about the coaching.

It's a tradeoff.

Two options:

1) Speed into the neutral zone where Hawks set a trap. So eventually before entering the blue line, we are forced into making a play onto sides where we have zero speed or dump it in (which most people here seem to hate) In case we are dumping the puck in, the only person with competent enough speed to chase it would be the one dumping it in.

2) Send it back to coverage with a slow but non-zero speed and enter the neutral zone where the trap that Hawks set is no longer valid. (or less valid) And enter the zone with "some" speed.

No they don't. Learn the rules.

Please.

The refs are given leeway to "interpret" the rules. The term Game Management exists for a reason. Yes, they do call an inadvertent high stick quite often. You're responsible for your stick.
But they call it if they feel like it, to be simple about it.

I'm not new son.

Isn’t it hilarious that three short years after signing for 6 M per year that we have absolutely zero expectations for Loui to score a single goal. Lol.

it’s far from funny. But it’s also no where near a relevant comment to the game at hand.

The boys have bounced back from a significant shot difference... but hey, let focus on the most negative irrelevant aspect that we can!

If you're not new you'd understand they call high stick penalties on follow throughs 1/300 high sticks and it's usually dubbed a bad call.
