Ok

The mob is not going to disappear Evander Kane.

But if you &^@#ed them for 500k it's a whole different story.

I'm paragraphising:  Vito Corleone:  "Tom is so good a lawyer, he can outsteal (legally) a phalanx of gangsters".  Even the old time mob wouldn't take you out (they might 're-arrange' a few things though lol).  They'll use the legal system (markers are legit in Vegas) to garnish his wages.  They collect nothing if he's "gone".

Yes, best movie ever , and Hollywood is correct occasionally.

This guy gets it^.  Even when Micheal Jordan owed them 12 million and thought he could get away with it, what happened? He disappeared from the nba for a year or two and his dad ended up having an unfortunate incident.

Have you ever heard Franzese talk about how they do get college players and professionals to throw games?

You must watch Valuetainment, they guy has amazing guests on and they are very interesting. I heard Michael Fransese say that on there and he would have known about that kind of stuff. I love how he turned his life around and walked away from that awful life. They have tried to kill him but so far they haven't succeeded.

I’ve actually never heard of that. But I watched a video of him speaking about it to what I’d assume is a group of university/college kids.  His main racket was aquiring gas stations then skimming on taxes. But he also spoke about how he’d get ncaa athletes on his payroll and how he’d get NFL QBs and NBA players to change the outcome of games.

on a side note* I once read how his dad used to hold “murder seminars” for other mafia guys.

The lawsuit just says he borrowed money that he never paid back.  The only way we'll find out the actual bets is if someone from the casino wants to try and embarrass him.  Hopefully for him it wasn't NHL bets because I'd imagine the NHL would frown on that.

what a goof.

I listened to this guy giving an interview on 1040 this past summer.

I'm sorry but this guy is a fool.

After everything posted about this guy's antics and character its tough to sympathise in any manner.

Very entitled and out of  touch with his team or the rest of the NHL . Another pathetic athlete giving his sport a black eye.

Getting his ass kicked by Reaves doesn't seem to be doing him any good. He's not waking up.

On top of it all San Jose has to live with acquiring this player. Now they, like previous teams that have owned his rights have to deal with this fool on top of trying to straighten out a disastrous start to their season.

He's just as bad as Lucic.

Cosmopolitan Hotel:  Hello Evander?  You owe us some money.

Evander Kane:  Hello....who is this?  The line is really fuzzy......CLICK

CBC.CA

A Las Vegas casino is looking for payback, literally, from Evander Kane nearly seven months after the forward and his San Jose Sharks teammates eliminated Vegas in a first-round Stanley Cup playoff series.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Cosmopolitan casino on Monday filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court for $500,000 US, claiming the 28-year-old Vancouver native failed to pay back gambling markers when the Sharks were in town in late April.

The lawsuit alleges Kane withdrew eight markers between $20,000 and $100,000 US around April 15, or in between Games 3 and 4 of the opening-round playoff series in Las Vegas.

The allegations have not been proven in court.

In an addition to the $500,000, the Cosmopolitan also seeks repayment of legal fees.

All around big problem not interested, never been interested .......really really not interested

Byfuglien is getting up there in age.  Though much smaller, Kane actually knows a bit about boxing and can throw them  (some of his family has a background in boxing, he's actually named after Evander Hollyfield).  It wouldn't be as big a mismatch a fight as you'd think.

What a waste of talent though (Kane).  Though he still has 13 points in 13 games for the Sharks this season so far.

The joke was more to do when Kane played in Winnipeg and Buff was sick of Kane’s antics and threw his clothes in the shower.

Losing 500k was a monthly occurrence for Theo Fluery when he played for the NYR (and was making 10 million a year)...his story isn’t a nice one.  Kane’s antics suggest mental health is an issue, but not in the same way - more of an Ego gone wrong sort of way.   There was some rumblings of Vegas possibly being an issue for some athletes when they came into the league and Kane’s the poster child for that - couldn’t have been a better example like a moth to a lantern.         This isn’t a good look on the league - SJ or Kane.   Wouldn’t be surprised if there was an effort to sweep it under the rug quickly.

As much of a instigator type of player Fluery was, once you research is awful back history.....you tend to maybe give him a bit of a pass on many things (re: Graham James).

Absolutely.  Watching his biography was hard to stomach.   He was one heck of a player even with his demons - that guy should never had be allowed out of jail.
