We fold like cheap lawn chairs when the game gets pushy. Ca t shake the narrative for 20 yrs now. Ferland better get healthy and be a force or we cut him. I'm sick of the excuses. Trim the fat. Guest
Well Benning had a big hand in constructing the Bruins. (edit) So I'm confident that our team toughness will be addressed this off season. It's really too bad that the Ferland signing was a big swing and a miss. It's also too bad that Loui didn't want to waive his no trade clause to go to Edmonton, as Lucic would've been a big upgrade for this team. Can anyone compile the record of the Canucks with and without Motte? Edited February 9, 2020 by VancouverHabitant

CanucksCountry
it's funny how this fan base changes so fast one minute we are planning the parade the next we are the worst team in the league and should trade everyone. That being said that was really a piss poor performance tonight big game and the young team just didn't bring it tonight hopefully the learn from this and move on we are still at the top of the pacific but the other teams are catching up hopefully the can rebound against Nashville to start Sedin week
6string
Now that Elliotte Fraudman has spoken to our lack of enforcement, the uproar begins. We've been on this since Ferland's absence.

DownUndaCanuck
Flames wanted this one badly, they had been ripped by their coach and they came out ready to play hard, we did not sadly. That was a playoff-hungry team and we aren't playing well against hungry teams which is a shame. Top line was useless, Miller had some nice plays and got to feel for Petey but he was targetted all night long and still showed some skill. I think we need to rest him a couple of games. Boeser had a couple of good looks but again, he goes down and our top line is a mess. Throw Horvat, Miller and Baertschi together and see what happens. Horvat was possessed tonight but tried to do too much by himself and really didn't use his linemates well, but you can't blame him when one of them is Loui Eriksson. The man needs a playmaker on his line to set him up, who Pearson is not. Pearson had a solid game in himself but again, if he's not being teed up to shoot, he's not very useful. Eriksson, apart from the screen on the 1st goal, was useless. Gaudette obviously had a good game, lots of jump in his step, and Sutter played alright but I thought Virtanen killed the play several times. Think we need to tinker with our lines a lot in the coming days but would be nice to see some Utica freshness. 4th line was terrible, Roussel was victimized a lot defensively tonight but props to him for providing the only grit of the team. Defensively we were in shambles, couldn't make clean passes, constantly having trouble moving the puck out of our own zone and moving towards one guy when the rush is going against us. These all cost us goals in this game and embarassing ones that good defences don't give up. I thought Benn and Hughes were really strong and Marky of course, but as a 5-man unit we have a lot of work to do. Moving the puck cleanly out of our own zone against a forecheck has been the down-fall of this team all season long and might be the single reason we don't make the playoffs if Green doesn't rectify it. Green has a LOT of work to do in the coming days, especially with Petersson and Boeser injuries. The season will be decided in the next 10 games. 1 1

Beary Sweet
Tough loss. They need to turn things around quick or we could be in a battle to just qualify into the playoffs right until the very end of the season. Marky can't be bailing out the team on his own. Needs to be a complete team effort. The boys need to find their game again. GCG!

Canuckfanforlife82
The concern is the way they have lost. Always getting outshot and they were bullied on the ice. It’s just embarassing to look so physically weak and we have to watch Schiller and Eriksson play ahead of younger players who can replace them for less money. 1 1
Whaleroad Train
At least we have cured our keeper controversy. If our defense plays a couple of more games like that then Markstrom will be demanding a trade.
Popular Post Trebreh
HNIC showed a compilation of what Petey's night looked tonight. He got crosschecked, slew footed, held and roughed up. how come there's not a single clip of Gadreau or Monahan getting that kind of treatment from the Canucks?! 3 2
