We keep winning and before we know it we’re picking 9th.

 

Theres a big difference between 5th and 9th.

Don't think there will be much difference whether picking 5th 6th or 11th in a draft no one is certain about

I agree - the lottery will fall how it will.  At this point it’s just nice to see the guys have a bit of a boost.

People, even Benning, put too much stock in guys scoring in late season, mean nothing games against teams trying to preserve themselves for the playoffs though. 

 

Highmore is still a bottom 6 guy on a good team (lol someone said he is going to be a stud). Boyd is still a guy who really should not be on an NHL roster full time.

There is actually a pretty clear cut top 4 D group that we would likely be able to snag at 5th or maybe even 6th.

 

Staying in the position we are is actually very important.

Guess what we tend to drop in almost every draft lottery it's Canuck luck. We're lucky if we draft at our league standing.
