No, he wouldn’t leave the East Coast, regardless. At his age, if he’s going to continue playing, he needs an easier travel schedule than west coast can offer him. At this point of his career I doubt he is playing on back to back nights but is a a fitness freak and would still help this team. If the price is right I welcome the big guy aboard to help steer this team to its first Stanley Cup. Chara still is a deterrent in that regard and we don't have much of that to speak of (Gadj winning a spot would help!). Chara will end up on a contender most likely. Or at least a good team, maybe that's us, I wouldn't say no to a league min contract for Chara. At the very least he adds depth - still can PK etc. But i doubt Vancouver is a team he'd go to.
