It would then beg the question: Is he hiring the best GM for the Canucks? or Is he hiring the best GM for Rutherford? Part of our problems in the past have stemmed from favoritism or personal connections getting people jobs instead of getting those best available. Also as discussed previously in this thread it's a puzzle finding the right mix of people, so some of it might be related to who the other AGMs will be (who's available and interested and so on), it's not just about being the best candidate for GM (which in itself has no clear cut definition and depends on a number of factors). 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Could very well be what happens, it'll be interesting. Because while the GM is obviously important, doesn't JR want several AGM's? And he's only hired one if I'm remembering correctly? Having a president with decades of experience and three AGM's to support our rookie GM should help stabilize things one would think.
