[Rumor] Canucks interested in Jacob Chychrun as a TDL acquisition

Odd.

Would love to have this guy here.

Chychruns numbers dont look good this, but its a product of being on a horrible team with a horrible system.
He has legit number one dman potential and would instantly give us a strong blueline moving forward.

If the yotes were smart theyd keep him, but he probably wants out of that hellhole.

Has to be as he's another LD.  Unless OEL, Hughes or Chychrun can play off side regularly this is a diversion towards getting Schneider back from NY.  If some D juggling is possible is Hoglander/Rathbone fair value in return?  Rather go fully into our Miller to NY discussions instead.  We need more strong pieces not less.

Itd be an absolute steal for us.

I think it would happen because Chychrun has had a really down year. Boeser's numbers are looking much better now, and Rathbone is looking so good.

Rathbone would be a huge get for a team that doesn't already have a small guy like Hughes.

I think its a risk but one worth taking b/c if Chychrun returns to form, thats an 8m dollar defenseman we're paying 4.5m to.

Maybe but one needs to think past that even, they can deal with both parties.

Phoenix and NYR. People will have to live with the pain of surgery.

This surgery can be pulled off because Vancouver has the assets to do both even if it will pi$$ off the fans.

They don't need a diversion they'll just do it.
