How often does a player losing a helmet result in an injury? Rarely. Vs having to abandon the play at a key moment with your season on the line & then the other team scores.

 

Can't imagine a cup winning goal being decided on that.

How often does a guy losing his helmet result in a Cup loss?

Never before, this rule wasn't a thing. If PIT loses this game it'll result in the loss of their cup chance though.

 

If concussions are the primary concern why not outlaw hitting? Much more dangerous, even clean ones.

Sorry boys. I think you're wrong on this one. You don't wipe out a rule designed to protect against concussions, because the timing sucks.

 

Just calling it as I see it here, but you both just sound salty about the Rangers tying the game....
