I’m happy you said this. As someone who has had to end my relationship with a family member due to their addiction to gambling. It really disgusts me how much this is thrown into our faces.

We get it, sports betting is now legal but JFC do we need to get three betting ads in a commercial break? This is the first freaking year this has happened and it’s already overblown. Sure we could say alcohol and fast food ads aren’t good as well but they hardly have as much air time as bet365, online casino, 649 Lotto max etc.

How can you know your limit and play within it if it’s all you see between the plays?

Exactly this! Agree 100%. Sorry to hear that about your experience. With this economy tanking, gas prices, and things generally getting harder, this - imo - just sends a horrible message.

i'm actually confused by the application of the rule last night when MT was allowed to leave the penalty box before the other player.. yes i know if 2 players are accessed a penalty at the same time you can declare which players u want out first.. but that's only if it's a normal penalty?? MT and Kane were assessed coincidental minors.. so neither team loses a player on the ice.. and they both shouldn't be allowed to be back on the ice till the next whistle?? just like if Oilers scored on the powerplay.. MT shouldn't and wouldn't be allowed to be back on the ice coz his penalty never resulted in a man advantage?? i think NHL blew the application of the rule on the MT goal

Really, really glad we kept Demko now.

A healthy Demko never puts on a joke performance like that last night.  Markstrom can be a bit of a sieve.  Sutter should sit Markstrom until further notice. The Oilers must be defeated at all costs and the Flames have a very, very capable backup tender.

Yeah, there was something smelly about that.

IF there was a kerfuffle, and one player from one team was sent off, and two players from the other team sent off from the same event, I can totally see why a coach could choose which of the two in the box could come out from the other team.

But they were from different calls. Kylington was called first for holding, and even though the clock had stopped, the other event happened after, and like you said was coincidental roughing calls, for the same event.  And it indirectly at least, led to a crucial insurance goal for the Flames.

Then again, do I really care who wins this series?
