I just don't understand. There has been such a disconnect between the fans and ownership for so long.

I hope this is a speed bump in the big picture and that Steamer and the Sedins have a big say.

Its not looking good though.

Fans are not buying the ever retooling plan anymore and it doesn't help that some of the rebuilding clubs during JBs retool are ready to contend for a Cup: Rags, NJ and Kings.

Bo's probably dialed out..Why should he give a crap.

A real Captain does not...'dial out'.

They get the team on their backs by inspiring them with their play while looking them in the eye and challenging them to be better.

I am sorry to say that Horvat is not stepping up enough.

I was one of the first to say he should be the next Captain after the Sedins, but he has not shown me enough.

Where are all the people who say sign him? I guess it's only when he does something well.

I still say sign Bo and trade Miller if you can. Not gonna throw a hissy fit over bad games when I knew this team was a wildcard team at best and that was even a long shot.

In the short term.

Kuz, Schenn and Horvat are your high return guys. Miller could be too but he'd be hard to move.

Then you'd look to try to move Boeser and Garland. With those guys out in opens up more playtime for Boeser/Garland. Pump them up before dumping.

Pearson/Myers if you can next year.

Thanks.

What a trading nightmare.

What a really horrible team we will be if we don't have Kuz and Horvat. I had hoped Miller would play like last year, but it doesn't seem like it's happening again.

I'm surprised that the team has become so bad after their run last year.

I wanted to sign him, I argued we should keep him over Miller all summer. I was fully in the Horvat camp and was arguing he'd be worth paying 7M back in like.. September.

I'd still keep him if we could ship out Miller and get him signed to reasonable money.

All this being said, I also recognize that this team needs significant surgery and if he's likely to have any chance of ever winning a cup it probably won't be here. I see a Horvat trade as being inevitable.

At this point I am kinda hoping the Musqueam, Squamish & Tsleil-Waututh First Nations stop letting the team play on their traditional ancestral and unceded land.

The team should be playing at Vancouver Landfill Instead, as they are playing like one.

Doesn’t really matter though, already a really horrible team

Luke Schenn to Bo Horvat.........

I love how guys like you think Schenn can’t lead without a C on his jersey. It exposes who hasn’t been in a locker room to understand true leadership. Letter doesn’t mean shit if you’re an actual leader.

As long as pettersson is playing he will be our Crosby and turn wingers into stars.

We need our versions of kunitz Guentzel and rust

Why is it a poor excuse?  Assuming that's what happened, not being able to play a physical game like hockey when you're ready to puke or run to the bathroom seems to me to be a perfectly good excuse for poor play.

if you're playing a game of assumptions when its not been confirmed that others have the flu other than for Petey and Boeser, then it's a poor excuse.

if multiple players indeed do have the flu bug plaguing them that's been confirmed, and its to the extent that you have to run to the bathroom to puke (like you mentioned), i could see it being fair of course because players would literally not be able to play. However, this is all just speculation other than the confirmed cases.

He’s not dialed out. He’s also 4th in the league in goals.

How about something that might be at least in a step in the right direction.

On the 26th get rid of Mike Yeo. And bring in a defensive coaching specialist.

The team last year wasn't this bad defensively. Yeo from what I've seen can't coach, and can't teach.

He's basically messing up our players. Get someone that will work with BB, not screw things up.

Then start making trades. Cut the team to the essentials. Then start over.

This is what I have been saying for the last month.

Yes, the team has had bad luck in losing Demko, and a number of others to injury, but if a team has the fundamentals right, they can play through those problems.

But this team has zero discipline, no defensive structure and the players are not accepting their responsibilities.

Its probably too late in the season to change the Head Coach, but not too late to find replacements for the Assistants.

This is one of the worst teams in the league, and the only way I see things getting better in the long run is if they get even worse in the short term, which is hard to even imagine. Dark times indeed.

Lucky for me, I've mostly stopped caring. I'm not letting this sorry bunch drag me down.
