Tanev would would solid but 55 games due to injury because our forwards are 90% 1 way players and it isn't defensive specialist haha

So you rather have Myers and OEL play first pairing every game and give up 5 goals against. Also the forwards being one way players doesn't mean that their AHL D won't affect it. In fact we need defensive Dmen to help those one way players

No I don't think it would be just as bad but we also wouldn't be handcuffed with OEL and Miller contracts either with room to add. I guess you think Tanev is similar to OEL or Forsling is bad but they are not. In fact Tanev would make our PK middle of pack instead of dead last

I think people don't understand how much of a role the forwards play in defending. Tanev should never have been let go though

It's also that type of thinking on Tanev that got him traded. Are we happier with OEL now playing every game?

Oh my God… I am so glad I gave up watching games!

I saw a news story on FB from Sportsnet saying “the ever dangerous 3-0 lead… and knew exactly what happened and to who.

I keep waiting for the straw that breaks the camels back and moves get made.  It seems inconceivable that this management group remains paralyzed.  Get ahead of the market and start selling players.  You don’t need to hit a home run with each move.

What on earth are they waiting for?

just stating facts.  sorry

How is it a fact that we'll finish the season at 500?

We're under 500 right now despite completing the weaker half of our schedule, and with Demko + Horvat in for most of it.

We somehow start performing better without our leading goal scorer, and against better teams?

The forwards can also play 2 way if the coach actually has a system to be defensive. We have Mike Yeo as the defensive coach and he sucks

Look this garbage PK and tell me Tanev and Forsling wouldnt have been upgrades?

Forsling took 4 teams and 7 pro seasons of development to snag a spot on capped out Florida. That doesn't count. Idk why your arguing about tanev though

It is not Martin’s fault that none of his teammates covers anybody. Modern defences play to take away shots from certain angles and areas - way too many guys uncovered, way too many out manned opportunities. If Boudreau figured the problem was his goalie, Delia would already be in net. Defence is work, and this bunch has no interest in it.

I said “its part” of the reason. Not the entire reason.

The forwards are a mess in our own zone. Why the hell is every player finding themselves ontop of our goalie constantly?? Its allowing Pittsburgh to move in closer and move the puck around even more effectively because they can make shorter passes. Our forwards are abandoning their points and not taking anyone infront. Why the hell are they just standing there watching????

Like how is it Myers fault on the Crosby goal, but 2 forwards are standing there watching while Myers has to position himself to deal with Crosby AND the back door?

I'd rather none of them and we were on our way out of a rebuild right now... but ya know..
