Too sweet, massive game by Bob but the Leafs are just such chokers. Matthews deserves a lot of heat for his terrible game tonight, generated absolutely nothing but a couple of shots from bad angles. Marner was good at the start and then honestly just disappeared in the second half of the game, but that's when Nylander started buzzing.

 

Florida just played so well as a whole team, they know when to pressure and when to pinch and when to sit back on the forecheck so well. Great job by their bottom-6. Their stars didn't do much tonight, in particular Tkachuk and Barkov, but you don't need your stars to win playoff games - you need depth, team defence and goaltending, and that's what they got.

 

Toronto should be embarassed so far but the sweep is still on!

I was listening to the Jeff Marek show after game 1...I actually find him to be decent and fairly tolerable. But the way they were talking was nutso - it was as if the Leafs had won something major. All the talk was Dubas is a genius, deserves a massive raise and can basically name his price and destination with full autonomy etc. I'm sorry, but I watched the series against the Lightning and they were not the better team at all, and the Lightning were depleted and a shell of their former selves. It really emphasized the Leafs media hype machine and bias to me
