UticaHockey
Grenier's problem is always consistency. Last night he had some bad shifts early in the game with multiple turnovers. Then later in the game he started playing much better. His one timer goal on the PP was a thing of beauty.

Guest
Maybe next camp, Grenier can show if he could slot in on 4th lines duties, or at least be a regular call-up. He's got some goal scoring ability, the frame to camp out in front of the net. I seriously doubt he's capable of more than 3rd iine, if ever, but if he could contribute approximately 10 goals - 20 points yearly on 4th line, he would be worth staying with the team. Hairy Kneel
Hope Grenier pushes it this off season and comes to camp with something to prove...but then again not everyone makes it to the pros..
Gaudette Celly
Consistency issues???? Zack Kassian anyone... And Jensen, and Shinkaruk, and Calgary's prospects... not at all uncommon.
Ghostsof1915
Currently Grenier has 26 points in 46 games and is +3. Jensen has played 41 games and has 21 points, and a team worst -11. He has more points in less games than Gaunce, and Shinkaruk. I wonder if he fits the teams long term plans?

Baer.
In my opinion, Kenins took his spot on the roster and has proven Grenier redundant. Unless our bottom 6 depth gets eviscerated in the off-season, I can't see any room. Higgins, Burrows, Kassian Matthias(?), Horvat, Vey Kenins, Richie(?), Hansen, Dorsett Then there's Jensen, Gaunce, and Virtanen who will be looking for roster spots. If he doesn't want to stay in the AHL for another season, he'll be Europe bound.

Fred65
Here's what I don't understand. The Canucks signed this guy ( never mind the politics and who's man he is ) he performs better than any of the other prospects, he's still only 22 and yet never a sniff of going up to Vcr. He's never in the conversation. . . .http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0070412015.html . . . There's always mention of his defensive conscience but he has a better +/- than Jensen

If he has a "real good" camp next year he could start out on the fourth line.
Jiggs50
I'd rather give guys like Grenier, Zaleswki, Archibald, Gaunce a chance than re-sign Richarson or Dorsett
elvis15
He's still a bit raw and has flaws in his game - more so than our other prospects. He'd get exposed at the NHL level without more time to develop I think. Don't rush him based on his basic stat line people, watch him play and listen to what the Comets staff has had to say on him. Fred65
Grenier is a RFA this summer and if he ain't going to get a chnace in Vcr might not wish to sign and Vcr might not want to sign him if they don't trust a 23 year old player who's been in the organization for a few years. Jensen on the other hand has a further year on his ELC but he's sliding in the wrong direction and the addition of Baertschi isn't exatly a ringing endoresement
wshdrvvn
I hope he is resigned. Still valuable to Utica, and fairly young. He's been a late bloomer throughout his career, I want to see if that trend continues into his mid-20s.

MoneypuckOverlord
He may very well be a career minor league player. That said,I wouldn't mind signing him. 6 ft 4 200 lb player that can skate why not ?
