Good luck trading "Guddy", he is the leader in the clubhouse, going for that Green Jacket.

How much are those "intangibles" worth to other NHL teams. Guess we will find out soon.

Benning took advantage of desperate Rutherford with all the Penguin d man injuries.

They are at risk of not making the playoffs if Guddy flops like expected.

Now Guddy is gone we can tell it like it is.  Guddy couldn't think the game quickly enough.  He's a slow minded guy, who was just too slow in every way.

Penguins Dmen Letang and Domoulin were both injured against Flyers and if either of them miss any significant time, Rutherford maybe looking for a Dman. Guddy could be a fit but the Canucks may have to retain about 50% salary to make it work.

Got the team right but surprised by the return for Pearson!

That's the theme on CDC.

Homer away at all your players and then crap on them the second Lord Benning decides they're expendable.

One day: "This player is great! F*** the haters! Great acquisition by Benning!"

Next day: "This player sucks and always will! Great job by Benning to get rid of him and getting a solid asset in return!"

Didn't have to look far for some Guddy comparables in all-time Canuck scoring.  Weird when you get a grouping of 4 like this.

246.  John Schella D 115 2 18 20
247.  Aaron Rome D 148 5 14 19
247.  Erik Gudbranson D 139 5 14 19
249.  Jason Strudwick D 243 4 15 19

Guds scores a goal today!

(Unfortunately, it was an ‘own goal’):P

Looks like Guddy has worn out his welcome in Pittsburgh.  Healthy scratched 3 games in a row.  IF he was in the line up the night Crosby fought, I would have to imagine the Pens have figured out they have little use for him.  Tough to see him in the league much longer.

Guddy is playing tonight against the Jets.

Just for the sake of comparison, Tanner Pearson is a Stanley Cup winner that plays both special teams and has 11 goals and 16 points in 23 games with us so far.

I'd probably still rather have McCann and the 2nd if I'm being totally honest (especially if we had used that 2nd to draft DeBrincat), but getting a player of significant value for Gudbranson at that point was nothing short of a miracle.
