Lets send the Sedins to the Draft Lottery.  Trevor has no luck.  The Sedins might be lucky enough to get us another swedish superstar.

Not a bad idea. The Canucks might pick anywhere in single digits except 4 or 5. Good chance we end up with Boqvist. (That is who you mean, right.)

Actually Boqvist would not be a bad pick. But, assuming we don't get a lottery pick, I am hoping for Bouchard.

Here are our odds:

1st:  7.5%

2nd:  7.8%

3rd:  8%

6th:  16.3%

7th:  38.9%

8th:  19.4%

9th:  2.1%

So we could finish sixth worse team and we have a 23.3 % chance at one of the top three players in the draft, a 16.3% chance at getting sixth, best odds at slipping to 7 at 38.9%, and a higher chance at slipping to 8,9 than we do picking where we should be at six....

These rules are monumentally flawed, in an age where drafting is more important than ever (cap era), and the draft order purpose  itself being the lifeline for bottom dwellers to get back into the playoffs and beyond...

Not a fan.  It worked for decades, sure Buffalo tanked hard for McDavid, SO what, they didn't get him with the old rules, and those guys don't come around often, in other words, don't fix what isn't broken.

Maybe we should trade Linden again.  Last time we got the Sedins....and McCabe and Bertuzzi, and Luongo...in fact his trade is still on the team in Markstrom.

And you say Trevor has no luck...

Surely we can package Linden, Neely, Ballard and a 7th for something decent.

Preaching to the choir. It's a farce and typical NHL bumbling.

It's completely ridiculous.

Buffalo has a > 50% chance at picking 4th than they do staying in the top 3.

And the top 3 teams combined have a less than 50% chance of picking 1st.

So what that means is Buffalo most likely falls to 4th, and a team from 4-15 is most likely going to pick 1st.
