Why the confused face?

was not really directed at you

although i did react to your post

it is more the spelling issues on here

some are so elementary

but i see it more and more .. . spelling accuracy is disappearing

and poor spellers are in denial overall. .and do not use spell check

or look up words when uncertain

Would you rather:

Evander Kane - $7M for 7 years?

Loui Eriksson - $6M for 6 years?

I'm not even certain which I'd prefer. Both are bad. Although we signed Loui 2 years ago, and Kane has been great since then, and wasn't amazing before it.

Well, to be honest the real question is:

Evander Kane - $7M for 7 years?

Loui Ericksson - $6 M for 4 years?  (and it is actually less cash than that, the hit is the 6 for the next 4 but the actual money is less).

You need to compare from a certain point moving forward....just like there isn't 12 years left on Luongo's contract or 15 years on DiPietro's.......

I see.

You know, you giving me the confused face forced me to question my literacy and look it up...

Thanks

Looking like another batch of “c” grade ufas to fill the roster July 1st.

That cap space money burning a hole in spender Jim’s leg.

I was was hoping for E kane but oh well perineal bottom feeders rarely get top ufas.

Why do you bother following the team?

Not surprised. Seemingly good fit in SJ

Defiantly overpaid, he’s getting more than hall, mackinnon and gaudreau.

i wouldn’t have gone over 6m

at least now that domino has fallen early so we can move on

None of which were pending UFAs

Yeah I agree he seemed worth the contract at the time because of his history, but he has had sub 25 point seaons in the last two and is being paid $7,500,000 this upcoming year. To say he isn't living up to his contract is an understatement. gurn is just out to lunch.

There are 61 players getting more  salary cap than Loui and another 14 with the same cap hit.

Don't see his posts.  I wonder if perineal is a Freudian slip of perennial.  Perineal is part of the nether region so maybe it wasn't a slip ;)

He's a sadomasocist.

I get a kick out of some of combover's posts though. His posts are pretty humourous in GDT's and PGT'S.

Maybe he doesn't get the fact that JB couldn't even talk to him until free agency.  JB learned that lesson the hard way

As long as he stays away from sharp things....and glad he changed his avatar, the old one was beyond creepy.

Loui has topped 60 points 5x in his career and 20+ goals 6 times with 2 over 30. He's got a lot more to give if put on the correct line, like with Bo and Boeser. Kane hasn't come close to that kind of career production.

Still, that career production occurred before coming to Vancouver. He's not worth $6M. Maybe Sutter money, but not $6M.

Great point! So he should be producing like a first liner then right?

There are  players getting paid more and bringing less. And if he was playing on a first line his point production would be closer to first line numbers. Has to do with ice time and line mates.

I'm happy to hear this.  I know so many were on the Kanetrain but I was not one of them.  If he hit FA this is exactly the deal I was afraid of... 7m and long term.

Now he's the Sharks' problem.  I predict a decent season not quite on par with this one, then the start of a long, slow, painful regression as he sits back, ages, and the sheen of a new contract wears off.
