Blue Jay 22
Disagree with Hellebuyck being so high. I think we need to see more from him before we put him ahead of others who have been playing at a more consistent level. He had a very good year, fantastic even. However, he has really only had 1 year of being an above average starter, and might be a low key regression candidate as the Jets led the league in preventing high quality shots. 1. Murray 2. Forsberg 3. Vas 4. Ghost 5. Lindholm 6. Reilly 7. Parayko 8. Trouba 9. Hellebuyck 10. Dumba Man...that draft class was pretty weak.

Baer.
Tanner Pearson, Jimmy Vesey, Damon Severson would probably round out the top

In a re-draft, Hutton definitely goes in the 1st round.
apollo
I would not take Murray at first. Not even too 3. He's overrated.
Down by the River
Murray way overrated, Galchenyuk way underrated. 1. Forsberg 2. Rielly 3. Hellebyuck 4. Hertl 5. Ghost 6. Murray 7. Parayako 8. Galchenyuk 9. Lindholm 10. Anderson 11. Dumba 12. Wilson 13.TT 14. Maatta 15. Slavin EDIT: Forgot Vasilevsky... would put him ahead of Murray. I'll give you mine for having Murray over Vas, and it's really simple. Murray's career stats: 111 games, GAA: 2.58, SV% .917 Vas's career stats: 155 games, GAA: 2.61, SV% .917 Murray's career playoff stats: 44 games, GAA: 2.08, SV%: .923 Vas's career playoff stats: 29 games, GAA: 2.68, SV%: .919 Murray: 2 Cups Vas: 0 I'm very curious to see the argument, or any argument that can be made that has Vas over Murray. Obviously he had a better year than Murray than last year, but since when do we make judgments based off 1 season instead of the full body of work? Rob_Zepp
I think Andreas Athanasiou (taken 110th by Detroit) could slip into that top 10 and certainly be in the top 1/2 of that first round. PS - while not a brilliant draft for top end NHL stars, few drafts have two of the last three picks ending up playing NHL games. The 2012 draft had that and has had 7 overall 7th round picks play in the NHL...not too bad.

You're right in terms of "what they have done so far"... but I ranked based on combination of potential plus career accomplishments/stats. I think that Vas has more room to grow, whereas Murray shows difficulty staying healthy and performing when he doesn't have Fleury supporting him. That is fair, and you are, of course, titled to your opinion. I actually find it interesting and entertaining to see where people list certain players in redrafts and how we perceive players differently. I personally think both are not even close to their ceilings/potential as goalies generally hit their primes much later than a skater.
Ghostsof1915
Just goes to show how hard it is to predict where 18 year olds will project over 5-10 years.
khay
Wow, 1F5D4G. Only 1 forward in top 10 re-draft. Most goalie/defence stacked redraft I've ever seen.
