Russia was probably the favourite of this tournament but Finland is doing something special.

Cheating?

Sorry, but the crotch shot was just too much.  They plant a bunch of giant trees in front of the net and are quite happy to "play" that way.  They've hardly played at all though...

Hold your heads up, Canada....you totally outplayed them but the goaltending was the difference.

Not only... The defence let Lankinen see most of the action. The part Green has a problem to learn his player to do. When they actually play defence.

Really dont care about other teams. Theodore, a home town boy, playing and hour away and we pick a long shot smurf who only plays one end of the rink and cant win a puck battle.

That can lead to a complete lack of perspective.

you can end up being bitter against your team, not realizing they are not the only team to make mistakes.

I'm in no rush to run Green out, let's see how he does with some added talent first.

The finnish coach read the oppsition right, outsmarted them, and guided the players to win after win. Green has done the opposite.

They beat Canada the same way the Swiss seem to. They play a solid trap game with good goaltending. Once they get the lead it's very hard to get anything going.

This is why I've always hated this tournament though. If this were the best of the best Canada would be running over Finland. But because of the soft IIHF rules they have to play softer and Finland took advantage of that.
