Popular Post Rush17
Player has to no longer be on the team and has suited up for the Canucks in the Benning era. Who did you cheer for most and why did you gravitate towards them? My fav - Ronald Kenins #41 I loved his hard hitting play and energy. It's unfortunate he was unable to maintain his play at this level. I figured this could be a fun way to re live some of the old members of this young transitioning team! Popular Post mikeyman109
Vanek was a good mentor to Brock 6
Popular Post -Vintage Canuck-
I liked Ryan Miller -- during the Desjardins days, when the Canucks were struggling, he kept the games close and gave it his best each night. At the same time, Markstrom didn't had to deal with much pressure and allowed him to develop to become a number one goaltender. 7
Popular Post theo5789
Luke Schenn has got to get a mention here. Was suppose to be a useless throw in to a trade and turned into a brief fan favourite. 3 2
Popular Post Master Mind
Ryan Miller for sure, liked him before joining the Canucks. Provided solid goaltending, and stuck up for his teammates. 6
Popular Post theo5789
I should add Derek Dorsett who was only temporary due to unfortunate circumstances. Gave it his all every night. Honourable mention to Bartkowski's mom! 7
Popular Post MeanSeanBean
I would say Dorsett, guy was a warrior. If he doesn't meet the criteria then it's Miller. Him jumping in to defend Stetcher was huge. 3
RowdyCanuck
I agree with @theo5789 DD he embodied Green's style and he would have been awesome to watch with petey and Brock https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxi5ieTwtAI 1

Popular Post Bissurnette
Dorsett and Miller take the cake for me. Which is funny considering how much hate JB got when he acquired each of them. 2 1
GB5
I'll go with Luke Schenn, was was a surprise and did a lot better than was expected. I'd have a hard time saying Miller or even Vanek because they played a lot and really don't fit the definition of "temporary". 1

But a big hard no for him playing with Pete and Brock. A line like that means you don’t have a real top 6 to play with your top line.

Smashian Kassian
I agree with Dorsett. And to also give a different answer, I'll say Vrbata. I was stoked when we signed him, he was the type of 1 shot goal scorer we'd needed for years, & he was a guy I always had my eye on. He was incredible that first year, its disappointing how he finished.

He did have decent chemistry with Bo as well.
Cpt.Clutch
Vanek. Wish we could have kept him another year. Seemed like a good guy and was exciting to watch. Was Vrbata a Benning guy? Can’t remember.

The following season, he wasn't the same player. Wasn't aggressive anymore and just wasn't skating well. Don't know if it was a lingering injury. Perhaps he should've been given a longer look, but it looks like his career really dropped off afterwards.
cuporbust
Dorsett 4 sure. Loved what he brought. Wish he was still playing for us. Edited August 28, 2019 by cuporbust
