Is Zack Kassian the least skilled player to play with the most skilled players ever?

Kassian is extremely talented, skates like the wind and hits like a truck.  Zack's only problem is Zack, but he really seems to have cleaned up his act.  If Kassian plays up to his potential, I imagine Mcdavid will be delighted having him on his wing.

Pretty much this. The talent and tools have always been there but he's never been able to really put it all together.

As for the thread's question Megna with the Sedins springs to mind. Semenko with Gretzky.

It’s pretty rare that any little talent player gets drafted 13th overall like Kassian was.  That isn’t to say such mid 1st round picks don’t bust hard....but there must have been some high end skills that the Sabre scouts that Benning helped build that dept saw in Zack.

Dont confuse him with the time Wade Brookbank rode shotgun with the Sedins.  Kassian also has been a respectable PKer on the Oilers.

As someone already said, Zack’s worst enemy was Zack himself, but it looks like he’s got his personal issues under control which IS the most important thing.

Kassian's only lack of skills is between the ears.  He skates well and has amazingly soft hands for such a big guy.  I always expected him to do better while he was in Vancouver but then there was, y'know, other things on his mind.  We Canucks fans are delighted to have a bit of muscle on the ice to protect Petey, why wouldn't the Oilers do the same for McDavid? (he gets his share of attention too)  Go Canucks Go!

The talk out of Edmonton is that Kassian is gonna get to play with McDavid and Draisaitl, and it got me thinking; when he was here he often got to play with the Sedins. Can anyone think of a worse player who got to play with better players?

Probably one of their best two-way players right now.  I dont think you've been watching any Oilers games in the past couple years.  He is a very solid player who is on a great contract.

You don't score 77 points in junior as a 17 year old without any talent.  Also Kassian has scored 14 and 15 goals in the NHL.  Jake hasn't done any better so there is a comparison there.  Both Kassian and Jake have great talent but the ultimate downfall of both is between their ears.  Kassian looks to have turned things around, here's hoping the same thing happens to Jake...

so if everything works out, and Jake follows the same developement curve....

we should have a good player in 5 years

It's not like he's a horrible player now.  He's an NHLer now.  How good he'll end up is largely up to him (he's got the talent).
