regarding injuries. First year was a freak accident, he was drilled into an open bench. That leaves 2 years - thats not enough to establish if its precedent or luck. Besides that, I wonder if Pittsburgh fans were showing guys like Malkin who missed significant time for 8 straight seasons, or Kris Letang who missed significant time for like 9 seasons no mercy. Even the great Connor McD has missed significant time in 2 out of 5 seaons. We have a lot of cut throat attitude in our fan base IMHO.

Hopefully Benning is looking hard at acquiring Brenden Dillon. The defense could stand to be a little harder to play against, and Dillon would fill that role nicely.

i think a lot of those twitter trolls frequent HFBOARDS. its funny reading through non canuck subforums on HFBoards , occassionally you will see the non canuck fans refer to the canuck hfboard as a cesspool. its sad that we have such an ugly element in our fan base. Overtly cheering for losses and hoping our young stars dont produce...

I don't like this "Team like That' rallying cry. Get over it, Doughty said it out of frustration and over the past 5 years this team has sucked. If this team gets swept in the first round they'll still be a 'team like that'. It's ok to use it as bulletin board material against the Kings but time to let it go - this team doesn't need to go down the Hurricane 'bunch of jerks' road, it's pathetic. Just my two cents.

Wife and I went for Ultrasound yesterday and SURPRISE. We are having TWINS!
We have a 2 year old son already so our family is jumping from 1 child to 3. We are both very excited and terrified at the same time.
We are keeping it low key for a few more weeks before telling everyone but I needed to tell someone.
Figured my CDC Family would be a good place to freak out anonymously.

I get what he was trying to do, not arguing his effectiveness as a deterrent. But on that particular play vs Zadorov he punched him while he wasnt protecting himself. Blunt force shot to the head- puzzling how a play like that is given a green light while a shoulder to the head during a play isnt.

@smithers joe i didnt remove the trim. ive used miles of that green tape. it takes me longer to tape than it does to paint, lol. but it makes the job look a little better. the problem I have is the last guy who owned the house did a horrid job, there are paint drips all over the walls, they used the wrong rollers it seems because the paint is super textured. im just going by what i see on youtube and google. learning on the job, and the foreman wife is sure to tell me where i made mistakes :-)

Ive tried hard to cheer for Raptors, I even like most of their players who seem to be good guys. In the end I just can't do it. Decades of being marginalized and being treated as second class citizens by our national sports media has jaded me enough to cheer for anything or anybody that plays a toronto team. Even our regional broadcasters are the puppets of Toronto's head office.
