THis just in: Sam Reinhart signs 2 year deal worth 3.65million AAV per year!
Nice! Can I assume this is his deal with us now as he was UFA when drafted?
Yes, that is correct. I will enter these contracts later today as well as the Comrie, Nurse, and Morrissey contracts. If there are any others that need updating please let me know. Thanks.

On this subject, when is the cutoff date for contracts signed IRL to be applied to this league? There are a handful of players still holding out I believe, when is it up to their EKL owners to sign them to a contract as opposed to waiting for an IRL deal?
September 30th Midnight is the cutoff.
-
Announcement: We have decided to amend the rule regarding ELC contracts to include players who are 20 years old. This means any player who has signed an ELC between the ages of 18-20 is eligible to have their contract slide.
You have all of September to submit any players you would like to slide this year.

The Sharks are very pleased to have come to terms with these three players, as all three were on our original draft list. We decided to draft the younger guys, hoping that these guys would last thru free agency. Couldn't be happier with this outcome.
We expect Andreoff and Hutchinson to challenge for jobs in camp, and if they earn jobs we may have to send down a waiver-exempt youngster or make a really tough decision. As for Reinke, we think that he'll play a big role with the Barracuda and is a longer-term project, but we look forward to seeing him in camp.
@Tigs or others in the league exec: do we need to make decisions about roster placement for free agents right away? Or can we see how training camps play out?
Final rosters don’t need to be posted until I believe October 1st is what we’re targetting.

Wave 2 will open up tomorrow. If you are one of the teams that missed out on your players, or were not able to submit offers on time please make note of this. We will run the same cycle for the next wave, collecting offers until Thursday and then negotiating/posting Friday (leftovers on Saturday).

Are we just offering contracts to players who weren't picked up by teams? And are we negotiating our own terms even though they might already be signed by IRL NHL teams?

Morning all. I have received offers from a lot of teams, but just a reminder that we would like to have all the offers in by Tomorrow @ Midnight so that we can start negotiating/posting signings Friday/Saturday and then start up the cycle again.

That is correct.

Did you settle on just 5 offers per wave? asking for a friend with a 62 player wish list
Yes, 5 players for the first two waves. Unlimited for the last wave. You do have a 50 contract max however.

Just a reminder that FA wave 1 is now open.

Rosters are as updated as possible.
Currently needing rosters from the following teams:
Detroit
Edmonton
Los Angeles
Montreal
New Jersey
New York
Ottawa
St. Louis
Vegas
Please note that you do not need full rosters, these are just in case you want to have a player in the minors that you don't want to go through waivers later on. A roster update will be required shortly before season start so that pickup can be entered properly.

Hey all, just a quick update here.
I am going to be gone Thursday evening-Saturday evening for an unexpected family situation that came up. @Patrick Kane is also out of internet range after 8 tonight. This means that I will be updating all the rosters posted by tonight and after that any remaining rosters that are posted by Thursday @ 11:59 will be updated on Saturday. Any rosters that are not posted or are posted after Thursday @ 11:59 are up to the league exec team to choose what happens with your players.
FREE AGENCY:
FA will open on Saturday, September 7th. Please PM both @Patrick Kane and myself with your offers. You are not allowed to sign any players that are eligible to be drafted in this years draft. For us that means all players who are born between 1999-2001.
Please note that we expect a brief description on how each player will fit into your plans. Also, some players may accept deals that are cheaper in value or term depending on a specific team's needs. It's worth remembering that some players play for location, team make-up, and or long term plans - not just for money (*cough* Tavares).
We will be accepting offers for the first wave of free agents from Saturday, September 7th-Thursday, September 13th. Negotiating will happen throughout and although we will be slow to sign deals the sooner you get your offers in the better it will be for you. Friday, September 14th all signings will be officially posted. Saturday, September 15th we will repeat the cycle.

@Tigs Is there a deadline for the first wave yet? Also who should we include in contact talks. Thanks
At this point in time the first wave is unlikely to open until the weekend, with each wave being roughly 7 days in length.
As far as agents are concerned you can include both @Patrick Kane and myself for the time being. Should this change we will make an announcement to inform everyone.

Announcement(s): Thanks to @Patrick Kane 99% of all players are now entered into the http://www.ekleague.com website. A few exceptions being some of the skipped picks which we will manually be entering later on.
Over the next few days we will be going through each team's posted roster and making sure the appropriate players are in the NHL/Minors as requested.
In regards to Free Agency, we have decided to do 3 waves of signings. The first 2 waves you will be limited to making only 5 offers and the last wave you will be able to offer for as many players as you wish. This forces you to prioritize the players you feel are necessary for your team during the first two waves and then fill any holes in during the last wave should you not be able to get the players you wished to sign during the first two. The deadline for when we want to see FA wrapped up is September 30th in order for us to have enough time to finalize opening night rosters and have everything entered into Pickup.
As always if you have any questions feel free to let me know and we will do our best to be as fair and accommodating as possible with everyone.

Announcement: With the draft concluding there are a few things regarding the timeline in the next month that I would like to note.
For any skipped picks, the deadline to make them up will be Monday, September 3rd at 11:59 PM PST. Failure to make up picks by the deadline will result in you forfeiting your right to make these selections and in general will be frowned upon by the executive team.
Currently we have the following GM's with picks to make up:
- @Spoderman 5 Picks
- @wallstreetamigo // @*VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS* 4 Picks
- @Sergei Bobrovsky 1 Pick
- @Boeserific 1 Pick
- @Squeak 1 Pick
- @maroe // @Watermelons 1 Pick
Following this, we ask that all teams post an official roster of their NHL team and players in the minors. The reason for this is to firstly make sure that we have all the players in the right section on the website. Secondly, players will require waivers following the roster update. Please see our CBA for details regarding waivers. The deadline to post rosters will be Thursday, September 6th at 11:59 PST. Failure to post your roster will result in the executive team assigning what we feel is an appropriate NHL team, and may not be exactly what you would want yourself.
CBA: (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Vu5wGiCZEXGEAVTGfuInkPqhq7noA1D5QE_sbZHaHXM/edit?usp=sharing)
Lastly, we plan to start our "post-draft Free Agency" sometime between September 7th-8th. The exact details of Free Agency will follow. However, we are likely going to do multiple waves of signings (3-4 waves), in which you will be limited in the number of players you can submit offers to per wave (likely 5 players). This will force you to prioritize which players you choose to sign. Please note that all 2019 draft eligible players are not able to be signed.
Thanks all for a fantastic draft!

As long as they are between the years of 18-20 you can slide them. Doesn’t matter what year of the contract.
