Just now, oldnews said:

That was close.  Like a bomb went off in front of our house.  

And then a few seconds later the shifting back and forth - for a half a minute.  Like turbulence in an airplane.

Surreal.  

The biggest, closest one I've ever felt in decades here.

 

 

 

I thought the pipes in my apartment were blowing up or air was stuck in the pipes causing that "hammer" sound.

IMO going outside is the best option if you don't have any other objects like trees, power lines, buildings etc.. nearby that could collapse. 

 

Yea depends if you live in the city or not.

I dunno about Richmond though, that place is in danger of getting sucked into the ocean.
