Basically, the NFL believes it has broader powers than it really does.

That's not the way it works in labour law really. You can't fine or punish people based on conduct rules they were never made aware of.

I assumed that this was some type of explicit rule that Brady violated concerning the footballs. You can't just make crap up as you go then retroactively punish people for that. Won't fly in court.

TRR, Apple, shall we go for a round of drinks soon?

It's been 7 long, long months of standing by our guy, defending him, and in some cases, trying to explain basic science.

Guess we'll finally hear from Mak soon once Ted Wells' his flight from NYC lands here.

This decision, right or wrong, has made the NFL's governing body, an invalid power and will affect all sports bodies. Suspensions in all sports will now be scrutinized in courts of law, if even the smallest glimmer of hope can be seen and, in the eyes of players, will be won. Just another annoying thing to watch in pro sports.

The law should've kept it's nose out of it.

Proof beyond a reasonable doubt is not needed for cheating violations in the NFL. Ready up on the policy. All of the stuff laid out in the Wells report is more than enough.

What's your point? The NFL isn't the public court system. The discipline they give to players for off field issues is in addition to whatever the legal system decides.

Also, the Brady caption would more accurately be described as "Cheater and liar".

Atlanta was disciplined for artificial crowd noise. Players are suspended each year for PEDs.

This isn't a witch hunt. They got caught breaking the rules. Pretty simple really.

You guys are delusional. It's a good way of dealing with the discipline from the NFL I suppose. Blame everyone and everything except for the guy calling himself 'The Deflator' and Brady. : :D

That calculation is garbage. The balls weren't measured outside at the half. They were measured in the refs locker room both before the game and at the half. Take a ball and measure the PSI outside. Take it inside now and leave it alone for a couple of minutes and measure it again. The difference will be drastic.

Probably would've been 2 had he co-operated with the investigation. They said in the suspension letter that non-cooperation was a factor in the 4 games. Brady went the Ryan Braun route and got burn

Aaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! :lol::lol::lol::lol:

....never knew mak was the one representing the NFL in court LOL! Sorry, but who knew common sense would come out on top and win?! Man, so hard to put things together sometimes, jeez.

"In sum, the data did not provide a basis for us to determine with absolute certainty whether there was or was not tampering as the analysis of such data is dependent upon assumptions and information that is not certain."

Well's report was garbage from the beginning. All the Brady bois called the witch hunt from the get go and clueless haters like mak get burned for being so emotional over a false accusation which was destined to be overturned. Yea, $40m+ Wells report not looking to purposely find dirt on Brady my ass.

Aaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! :towel::towel::towel::towel:

Similar thing happened with Pat Quinn almost 30 years ago now, he got a lifetime suspension from the NHL but got it overturned by the courts.

The difference was that Quinn was guilty of something a hell of a lot worse than Brady was accused of.
