MoneypuckOverlord
Hauf, the guy he hit is 6'5" 223 lbs... whats more insane, is he had Virtannen lined up for the hit, and got the worst of it! so its not like an unexpected hit were he didnt see him coming or anything. that said not surprised. many victims of players trying to hit Virtannen but Virtannen is a talented (hitter)
Popular Post Guest Dasein
Chill out That guy just wanted to go off on a change and decided to take the Virtanen Express Way Why climb over the boards when you can fly? TOMapleLaughs
Sweet Mary Mother of Christ that was an exceptional hit! When will these guys learn not to bodycheck Virtanen?

It seems that he's not even going out of his way to seek these hits out. Sometimes he does, but most of the time it's just guys attempting to line him up, and they end up being destroyed. Sick to think he's only 18 and can barely grow a peachfuzz stache. What's he going to be like in his prime?

What's he going to be like in his prime? I know right? Imagine when this kid is fully developed. I hope his hitting can translate to the NHL. A fast, scoring, heavy hitting young player is exactly what Benning said he wanted, and that appears to be what he's got.
Canuck1982
They changed an assist to Virtanen from last nights game. So that's two multi-point games in a row for Virtanen. It sounds like Jake is getting more ice time as the coach is going with 4 lines rather then overplaying his overagers like he normally does. As the Hitmen are on a long road trip with lots of backs to back games, due to the Curling tournament at the Saddledome. Derp...
If he was playing 71 games this year he would be on pace for 32 goals and 81 points. I would love yo see him get to 40 goals, but it will be a challenge I think.

Down by the River
anyone else find it odd that the whl plays 72 games a season while the Q and O play 68? Especially since it seems (maybe I'm wrong) that teams have to cover a lot more KMs in the WHL
