Send him to Minnesota for Fiala.

Fiala is a creative winger who is a playmaker but can finish and has better speed than Boeser.

Goal scorers are streaky and hard to find though.

I might be tempted by Minny if they are adding top prospect Calen Addison on d and a first round pick along with Fiala though...

Had a dream we traded BB to Arizona for Ilya Lybushkin straight up, no sweetners. Needless to say I woke up in a cold sweat from that nightmare!! Hope Brock is back soon lighting the lamp on Miller's wing. Chiasson is and has been a gross fill in..

Would like to see a little bit more jam and pace in Boeser's game. I know he isn't a burner through speed, but he needs to play quicker. Seems just a tad too slow at times.

Rutherford's inclination is to find speed in the lineup,  Boeser (including his 7.5 mil QO in the summer) seems like an easier candidate to trade and upgrade speed in that department.

Need to see more from his game to really believe again he is a fixture for this team to keep. At this moment, I'm in the corner of finding a young skilled forward who can play at a higher pace while bringing offense.

So torn with Boeser.

Is he a play driver or is he just a complimentary player? (ex. Raymond, Booth, Samuelsson, Pearson, etc.) While you need both to succeed, is he worth his cap hit & future qualifying offer? Tough decision being the GM.

So torn with this kid. He's pushing veteran status and needs to step the hell up. Either hold on for what could be, or maximize his return RIGHT NOW.

Will we ever see the old Brock Boeser again?

I think he's a very good complimentary player. He's definitely, in my opinion, not a play driver.

He's not worth 7.5M, let alone 8M. I think he's probably worth 7M. What kind of player can you get for a player like Brock?

The young man needs to remain healthy. And he hasn't been able to do that at all in his career.

The injuries hinder him a bit but he has high value still because he's young there's still time to live up to the hype he scored at about a 35g30a pace couple seasons didn't he. He needs to get his confidence in his shot back and start sniping again

I like Brock. I hope he remains a Canuck.

I just don’t like Boeser at 7.5M.

I guess complimentary player in the sense that he doesn’t drive play. He compliments a line, but he doesn’t dictate the play on the line. He’s a good player. Top six for sure on most NHL teams. Which is why I want to keep the player. But is he worth the QO of 7.5M, or higher? I think 7M max for him, and if we could get him signed for 5-6 years, I’d be down for that deal.

He did play every single game last year for the first time, but it was only a 56-game season. Outside of his first year of 9 games, he's averaged playing in 84.5% of games, or an average of 69 games in an 82-game year. Definitely does struggle to stay healthy and seems to only be reliable for about that number of games. Doesn't help his case that he's still on pace for about 24 goals (if he were to play 82 games, which he can't) and less than 50 points this year.

Yeah. 56 game season. I guess I was more in line thinking about a regular season of 82 games. He hasn’t been able to play a full season without getting hurt or injured of some kind. Being injured constantly like that does wear on the body over time too.

Well, him having a bad statistically year actually is good for the Canucks in terms of his next contract extension. Could mean that we could get him for a little cheaper than if he had an explosive season heading into contract talks.

His role is sniping goals. He doesn't dictate the play but it's not like he doesn't create chances for his line. He's crafty he makes good plays and snipes goals at an elite pace with room to grow imo. He scored at 80-75 points per 82 games pace every season until this year. I would pay him to keep him if it came down to it.

Of course ideally I'd like to keep him too, but we can't afford to keep Miller, Brock and Bo. One of those two has to go to make room.

mhm agree with you for sure. If it was up to me I keep Miller and Bo over Brock. Miller is only 28 he's still prime for long enough imo and we have Podkolzin to take Boeser's role. Bo has so much more potential.  He goes on really good hot streaks scoring game breaking goals.. Just needs more consistency. He's a freakin tank with really fast burst of speed. When he gets angry during games he throws some heavy heavy hits reminds me of Lucic body/speed except faster. Beastmode he needs to throw a lot more meaningful hits.

Also if we keep Miller they can stack EP and Bo/Miller at times kind of like how Crosby/Malkin, McJ/Drai get stacked when things are going uphill for longer than it should.
