thema
I absolutely positively HATE Kessel but if he's going to reassurrect his career anywhere it could well be there with Sid and Malkin. Still if I'm Mario I'm selling and soon.
hatedkid666
Pittsburg robbed toronto. Don't know why toronto added all the propects and the pick lol Kessel will get 50 next year easily. He is also notorious for having good playoffs/tournaments so it could be a really good move for the penguins.
Neversummer
With their crappy D, Pens will just have to hope they get 5 or 6 goals every night and outscore their opponents to win. With Crosby, Kessel, and Malkin, that strategy might just work.
Realtor Rod
How did they not get Sutter? Kessel with Crosby and Malkin on the PP will be insane. That is a lot of salary for 3 guys.

Beary Sweet
I'm surprised the Leafs didnt get Pouliot especially when he is highly regarded as a top dman in the league, potentially a PK Subban type maybe. But overall anytime you dump a salary that is as big as Kessels you will always be the winner. Leafs hands down are winners

ManUtd
Huh how'd you figure? Kessel is a 27 year old 40 goal scorer. Don't you usually need to score 40 goals in a season to actually be a 40 goal scorer?
THERETOOL
Blockbuster #2: Malkin to StLoo, for an Oshie, Shatt-package... wouldn't be shocked to see malkin go to a place he could be the number 1 guy
thehun
Good thing tsn had 4 articles all in a row announcing the trade as I missed the first 3.
King Heffy
Bad deal for both teams. Penguins give up too much for an overrated, lazy floater, while the Leafs yet again make the ultimate mistake and retain salary long-term.

apollo
Pens win this trade by a mile. No idea why people are discrediting kessel so much. He can score as good as anyone in the nhl.

Ghostsof1915
Great Trade Burke, two firsts and a second for him from Toronto. So instead of holding onto Toronto's picks he blew those draft picks. And blew even MORE draft picks to bring Hamilton to Calgary. Insane. As I said. Mario. Sell buddy! Sell!!!!

jdatb
Wow what a steal by Pittsburgh. This trade alone puts the Pens into one of the top 5 teams heading into the next season. I didn't know Rutherford had it in him.
JeremyCuddles
Only problem is Toronto needed to retain salary. Otherwise it is a solid deal all around. If you discount the fact Pittsburgh should maybe hold onto some prospects. Trying desperately to buy a cup it seems. Kessel and Crosby/Malkin is deadly on paper though. If you see what Kessel has done with Bozak and Kadri as his "number 1" centres you have to admit it was pretty impressive.
