And then when I saw his face...LOL What immense pressure these kids are under. Was fantastic on the Powerplay and made several great passes throughout the game. Was excellent in transition moving the puck up the ice efficiently and made quite a few great defensive plays. Well deserved goal and assist. Could have easily had a couple more assists if other players buried their chances. Looked very confident with the puck and had no problem jumping into the play. Lastly, the most encouraging part for me was that he actually dictated the play and was making things happen all day long. Tough way to go out in the shootout but it is what it is. The game should not have been determined by a skills competition. Overall a fantastic tournament for Olli and good bounce-back performance from last year. Now hopefully he goes back to Turku and kills the rest of the season and keeps on learning under the tutelage of Sami Salo. Very interested in seeing him in Training camp next season and hope he earns a spot on the Canucks. Lord knows we can use him on the powerplay. That's what you want to see from a prospect. Stepping it up when the pressure mounts. I'm still not 100% sure why he was used as the 5th shooter in the shootout. If you're going to use a D might as well put them in early. Regardless, the Finnish forwards were the ones who couldn't get it done this tournament. There D was very good, but they couldn't get much out of there forward group save for 2 or 3 guys.
