SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
From Cory Hergott (who writes “The Bus” Comets reports): “He has gone down to Utica and has done everything asked of him to improve his game. He is a key cog on both special teams, and when he is on the ice five on five, he stays out of the penalty box. Boucher has really picked up his physical game this season and has still only compiled four penalty minutes for the season. I would hate to see the Comets lose Boucher, but I 100% believe that he has earned another chance in the NHL.” https://canucksarmy.com/2017/12/10/canucksarmy-utica-comets-post-game-boucher-picks-up-2-more-goals-comets-fall-4-3-in-overtime/

Surely he must be a better fit for the team than chaput, though I guess it would force Grandlund to centre again

A NHL wrist shot and one timer. Second in the AHL in goals plus he is 3 for 3 in shootouts as well as an OT game winner. I don't see any issues with his game in the defensive zone or away from the puck and in my opinion is a better defensive player than some of the Comets so called defense first forwards that provide no offense. It will crush the Comets to lose Boosh right now but he deserves another chance to prove he is a NHL player and not the typical "AAAA" player that is too good for the AHL but can't show the same skill set in the NHL.

The Nucks needed a center with Sutter and Hovat on IR which is why Chaput got the call instead of Boucher. If the injury to Sven is severe enough Boucher may be the next to get the call. Looks like Boucher might get the call now. Baertschi our 4-6 weeks. Canucks will probably look to put grandlund or burmistrov at centre to open up a wing for Boucher

Boucher definitely looks faster than last year.
TGT68
Seems he pulled a Kole Lind after being sent back down with 3 g 1 a in his first game back in Utica.

SingleThorn
Nice to see RB get a decent amount of ice time. Thought he looked better than earlier in the season. It's almost TDL time, so the Conspiracy Theorist in me wonders if there is any 'showcasing' going on.

Not that he's worth a lot though, when he can't stick on a bottom club. Llikely worth more to us for Utica in their playoffs. 1
-AJ-
I'm not very high on Boucher, but 2 goals is nothing to shake a stick at. A good game from him for sure.
stonecoldstevebernier
Didn't see today's game but its great to see Boucher get on the scoresheet with a couple. Every time I watch him in Utica he blows me away with how electric he can be offensively, he has the ability to make something happen every shift at that level. I hope for his sake that he takes this opportunity and runs with it, he's getting up to that age where its make or break for him.
MattCanuck
Good on RB today! making the most of his time with the big club, maybe they will consider keeping him till the end of the season if he keeps up the good work!
hlinkas wrister
He reminds me (yes I'm old) of Tony Tanti. He's not very fast, big or physical, but he has exceptional instincts in the o-zone and great hands.

Like so many players they bring their A-game the first initial few games then fade. He has still got to learn consistency and bring it every game. Let's review him in 10 games. Meh, I'm merely making an observation as to what player he reminds me of. I think at 24 years old we know what he is already.
Boudrias
His line had a big game. Looking forward to their next game. Everyone knows Boucher has a shot. Confidence is a huge part so maybe he can click.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Reid was tenacious on the puck pursuit and hard on keeping the puck down low. If he keeps that up he might very well find himself some more ice with more prominent players.
