I remember years ago he had so much promise, he never really put it all together. The problem is that he's overpaid by a lot for his performances or lack thereof. He's worth taking a flyer on at a much lower salary just for the hope that he may one day finally put everything together and live up to what people thought he should have become. If this is true, I think there would be a good possibility Vegas could going from 6th to 3rd in the draft. Dallas doesn't want to lose a good young player and there will be a decent player at 6. They get a cap dump also. For Vegas, based on the expansion, they want the best center prospect they can get. Moving into 3rd means they can get the top of Vilardi, Mittlestadt or Glass. Maybe even the chance of Patrick dropping. If they want to pursue further, it is much easier to flip the 3rd into the top 2 than it would be from 6th. They need a first line center and if they got someone like Patrick, it could make a huge difference in their success. Philly would be very tempted with a 3rd overall plus a package of however many picks they acquire from expansion or even a player they would like from another team to make the move down. Philly could take on a prospect that will take a bit longer to develop and they are still competitive.

Offer the 3rd overall to vegas for the 6th overall with the condition that LV takes Lehtonen. LV gets a franchise center in Vilardi/Patrick to build around and Stars could still draft someone like Heiskanen and have a ton of money to throw at a player like Alzner. Xbox
I guess Reinhart wasn't the player he was hyped up to be if he's being exposed, same with Ryan Murray and Nail Yakupov. That's 3 of the top 4 picks all in the same draft year. Weak.
