Swedish article mentioned Monday? No apologies necessary! One more sleep. Anyone in the lower mainland gonna greet him at the airport? Sing the song? ('Lias is our Idol) Paint yourself GOLD? In about 8 hours it will be Monday in Sweden. Direct flight is almost 10 hours. So maybe, anytime after 1:00 am Monday?

I doubt thats next season though as I think he needs more time. Gadj-Gaudette-Lockwood could be a fun third shutdown line This is more like it. EP is a lot like Jack Hughes....and it would not surprise me to see Green start him out on a line with Roussel and Beagle... It also wouldn't surprise me to see EP turn those 2 into 20 goal scores....which is great but not as good as turning Bo and Brock into 35+ and 45+ goal scorers...! Something like Dahlen-Pettersson-Boeser Goldy-Hughes-Virtanen Leipsic-Bo-Lind Gadj-Gaudette-Lockwood

Beagle was signed to be a checking line C, as well as a PK specialist, which entails +++ d-zone minutes. I don't think EP ever plays on that line, although I wouldn't mind seeing Roussel play on the 2nd line with him (if EP is playing C). I agree with your summation in the last sentence. Theoretically this line up would be nuts

IMO Gads has the ability to be an ideal winger for a smaller elite center. Ala Holmstrom. I see him being a top six guy who can be a net presence and deterrent. His hand eye coordination and abilty to score in close is very good. If his skating progress seen in the prospects camp continues I see a lot of upside to him. As for JV, IMO he needs to play with skilled guys to take advantage of his abilities. Someone like J. Hughes or Pettersson as center would be IMO a good mix 5v5. Added bonus the two meat and potatoes wingers will help keep the moron players from running their center.

Maybe, but I think he's an awful long ways from Virt or J Hughes speed. Initially, this line was posted as a 4th line suggestion. I just don't see Hughes, or even Virt being wasted as 4th liners. Gads has one key ability that the Canucks currently lack. Net presence. His skating looked much improved and I certainly hope the trend continues. His ability to score within twenty feet of the net is excellent. I seem to remember a lot of posters wanting MT for the same ability. Gads lacked the skating in Jr, if he addresses that weakness he could be a jem. 1
