Ossi Vaananen
https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/canucks-assign-chaput-and-cassels/c-292342652 Quote Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has assigned forwards Michael Chaput and Cole Cassels to the Utica Comets. Chaput, 25, has appeared in four games for the Comets this season, recording two points (1-1-2) and six penalty minutes. Last season, the Ile-Bizard, Quebec native established career highs in goals (4), assists (5), points (9) and games played (68) and won 52.7% of face-offs taken. Over the course of his career, Chaput has played in 126 NHL games and collected 17 points (6-11-17). Cassels, 22, recorded two assists in three preseason contests this year. In his second season of professional hockey in 2016.17, the 6-0, 182-pound native of Columbus, Ohio recorded 11 points (6-5-11) and 33 penalty minutes for the Comets. Ossi Vaananen
Good to see Cassels is ready enough to start playing. Moving Chaput down is interesting, as we don't have a spare forward without him, and Gaunce has already been sent down for conditioning. More movement coming? xereau
We don't play until Monday, I would expect to see another call up before then, before a trade or anything as dramatic.
Nicklas Bo Hunter
Call up rodin let him atleast get a full paycheck while he sits in the press box lol.
JM_
If we can get Cassels into a game vs Edmonton on a line with Dorsett McPouty might blow a gasket
Goal:thecup
Good on ya Ossi. First shoe drops.* Making room in the pressbox. For? Gaunce? Louie? (Both of whom will get a chance to regain their spot in the lineup, imo.) *This is an old saying from the days of strict censoring of sexual content in movies. They used to cut out the action if the second shoe dropped, or the second foot left the floor in a bedroom scene.

Rodin is on a 1-way contract. Pretty sure he gets paid the same no matter when he’s playing. 16 minutes ago, Jimmy McGill said: If we can get Cassels into a game vs Edmonton on a line with Dorsett McPouty might blow a gasket A line with cassels and dorsett would score 20 goals a game if they matched up with mcdave...... Goal:thecup
3 Steps to Joy: 1. Identify Benning Bashers - hint: They typically think they know more than Canucks Management (and everybody else). 2. Put them on "Ignore". 3. Only see posts from them when others quote them, and this usually from someone prepared to put them in their place. Ahh, CDC is a great place to visit again. Art Vandelay
I think Chaput going down is just to reduce the days he is up, so Canucks don't have to put him back through waivers as early or if lucky, at all... I think. Pretty sure he can only be recalled for emergency for either 30 days or 10 games (does he have to play those?).

You can bet that they will take full advantage of that. Louie was placed on the LTIR and will be unable to play until november 9th I beleive. When the opening night rosters were set, he was placed on Season Opening Injury Reserve. So this just means he is healthy now.

Maybe it was to make a switch to get Chaput playing some games and give someone else a turn to set in the press box.

Yeah ignorance really is bliss. who needs to have an intelligent debate, or defend their views or even just have a good old fashioned hockey discussion with people of differing views when you can just ignore everyone you disagree with, throw on your blinders, plug your ears and sing a song to drown out anything you can't handle hearing. 2017.
