Art Vandelay
@Patrick Kane I was wondering how the website is calculating the cap hit. Are you putting in a rounded number? Or is that just for aesthetics. I’m asking because I have a different total for my roster than what the website says. Off by $999, which makes me think maybe your calculator is cutting off numbers rather than rounding. I’ve double checked, so I’m pretty sure the website is off. Such a small number, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a mistake... I was just curious.

Primal Optimist
prospects are the entry rung on the pyramid scheme that is fantasy hockey..lol...so very few actually pan out but they all seem great guns to get started...i forget the stats but its so very rare for anyone after the top 75 to make the NHL it is almost not worth your time worrying about them..but "try" to get a decent enough producer if you are picking below the top 2.5 rounds.....ummm as for your names here in your minors: i have heard good things about Dansk, Douphin, McLaughlin, i watch Phillips a LOT and you have a great young guy there, wow, but too short, haha, like JOE in Detroit now...Hicketts...i said too short for years but he is about to debut on their blueline, or at least is at a 50/50 to do so now anyways...Who else..Repo is nice..and Tufte..I don't know about Dugan...but yeah, even the number one overall pick from 1988 I think the article said, maybe 86...is now destitute and homeless..so who knows? clearly the scouts only have educated guesses and we take our cue from them, meh. by the looks of it you have a good pool and some of them should pan out. Relyt Krets
Sorry to post this again back to back but my computer is not cooperating! Oh well, I give you the 2018/19 Columbus Blue Jackets! I would like to announce this years leadership team: Captain: 9 Filip Forsberg Assistant Captains: 29 William Nylander {A}, 11 Zach Hyman {A}, 27 Milan Lucic {A} Average Age: 21.7 Cap Hit: 57.579M // 75.5M (Under the assumption that Nylander gets 8M per Season) Cap Space Available: 21.92M We feel that the team we built will be a mid pack wild card team. We feel very setup for the future and at the conclusion of the draft we feel there are still some great names that we can look to add. Goaltending may be a bit of an issue this season, as well as we are short on the RW position, but we feel we have a solid up and coming D core as well as some great young building blocks! Want to thank the exec team for running a great draft! Very excited to get the year going and see whom drafted the best team, and how well the Columbus Blue Jackets will do! 9 Filip Forsberg {C} - 86 Teuvo Teravainen - 29 William Nylander {A} 81 Kyle Connor - 49 Victor Rask - 17 Nikita Scherbak 11 Zach Hyman {A} - 38 Boone Jenner - 91 Anthony Duclair 27 Milan Lucic {A} - 71 Vladimir Sobotka - 15 Spencer Foo 8 Will Butcher - 6 Juuso Valimaki 83 Sami Niki - 26 Michael Stone 41 Mirco Mueller - 29 Greg Pateryn 35 Darcy Kuemper 40 Robin Lehner Hide contents 51 CJ Suess (LW) - 98 Dmitry Sokolov (C) - 13 Joey Anderson (RW) 28 Artur Kayumov (LW) - 63 Calvin Thurkauf (C/LW) - 16 Nicholas Caamano (RW) 93 Andrei Altybarmakyan (C) - 73 Nicolas Aube-Kubel (RW) 40 Milos Roman (C) / / 14 Rourke Chartier (C) 53 Dennis Cholowski (D) - 25 Cal Foote (D) 7 Lucas Johansen (D) 30 Filip Gustavsson (G) 1 Eric Comrie (G)

arby18_
San Jose is very happy with how the draft panned out for our squad. We feel that we have a strong team that can do some damage right out of the gate with the top-half of our lineup being strong veterans near or in their primes. On top of that, our bottom-half of the lineup is comprised of young players with upside that are expected to play right away and help contribute while also being around for a long time. We eyed up a few bubble-type players near the end of the draft, but instead will try to sign them as free agents if they go undrafted. (roster in spoiler below) Spoiler Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Couturier - Cam Atkinson Alex Ovechkin (C) - Mikko Koivu (A) - Kyle Okposo Jordan Greenway - Tyson Jost - Alex Tuch Victor Ejdsell - Mark Jankowski - Michael Amadio Lukas Sedlak Duncan Keith (A) - Jason Demers Cam Fowler - Travis Hamonic Victor Mete - Julius Honka Christian Wolanin - Connor Carrick Devan Dubnyk David Rittich We didn't start adding prospects until late in the game, as we were instead focusing on young NHLers, but even so we are pleased with the prospect pool we assembled. Many of these guys are a long way off, but that was the plan as our NHL team should be around for the next year or two together. And just like the big squad, we have plenty of Wild players represented. Funny how that worked out... Tigs
Announcement: With the draft concluding there are a few things regarding the timeline in the next month that I would like to note. For any skipped picks, the deadline to make them up will be Monday, September 3rd at 11:59 PM PST. Failure to make up picks by the deadline will result in you forfeiting your right to make these selections and in general will be frowned upon by the executive team. Currently we have the following GM's with picks to make up: @Spoderman 5 Picks @wallstreetamigo // @*VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS* 4 Picks @Sergei Bobrovsky 1 Pick @Boeserific 1 Pick @Squeak 1 Pick @maroe // @Watermelons 1 Pick Following this, we ask that all teams post an official roster of their NHL team and players in the minors. The reason for this is to firstly make sure that we have all the players in the right section on the website. Secondly, players will require waivers following the roster update. Please see our CBA for details regarding waivers. The deadline to post rosters will be Thursday, September 6th at 11:59 PST. Failure to post your roster will result in the executive team assigning what we feel is an appropriate NHL team, and may not be exactly what you would want yourself. CBA: (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Vu5wGiCZEXGEAVTGfuInkPqhq7noA1D5QE_sbZHaHXM/edit?usp=sharing) Lastly, we plan to start our "post-draft Free Agency" sometime between September 7th-8th. The exact details of Free Agency will follow. However, we are likely going to do multiple waves of signings (3-4 waves), in which you will be limited in the number of players you can submit offers to per wave (likely 5 players). This will force you to prioritize which players you choose to sign. Please note that all 2019 draft eligible players are not able to be signed. Thanks all for a fantastic draft! @Blue Jay 22 @Primal Optimist @Dion Phaneuf @gmen81 @BM24 @Patrick Kane @Gally // @Miroki @Tylez @Drouin @canucklax @Ilya Kovalchuk. @Canuck Surfer @kj29 @Monty // @D-Money @Mike Vanderhoek @maroe // @Watermelons @Zach Parise @Sergei Bobrovsky @Spoderman @Boeserific @RL. // @Tony Romo @OurTimeToShine // @Caboose @_arby_18 @wallstreetamigo // @*VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS* @Master Mind @Art Vandelay @Jaku @Nail // @JE14 @Squeak @inane
