Hutton - Stecher

Pouliot - Biega

Sautner - Schenn

?

Possibly the worst D we've iced since I can remember. This could be a disaster.

Hutton and Stech are going to play a full 30 mins, hopefully Schenn can rise to the occasion. JB really wore us out thin, especially if Edler doesn't travel on this road trip...

Oh that second pairing scares me lol...well at least Hutton and Stech are getting some trial by fire oppty to step up and Sautner Schenn may surprise, I think they will. 2 physical dmen

Upside of these injuries is our young guys get the oppty to really take the next step

Last interview with Hutton, for the first time ever, I heard him sound like a grizzled vet, not a happy go lucky kid. He was serious, focused and really ready for the challenge of having to take on the best players on the other team. He and stech and very visibly (from their play) benefited from these injuries and stepped up, that is important for this franchise long term.

Schenn, who knows what he will bring, but he has to know he's on his last stop. He was always good defensively, and strong on the boards. If he can fill the hard to play against role on this team, maybe we got a small steal. Let's see what he can bring, one thing, he will be is motivated.

Sautner, getting ice, great! Brisbois showing he's got potential to play, Only good things to come from them. We shall see what Hughes has in a few weeks.

Gaudette emerging, Jake took another step, Motte showing he can play, Bo being Bo, Petey knocking the lights out, Marky becoming a number 1 and Demko finally getting his shot.

From my perspective, this year was about taking another step forward. As much as people are whining and moaning about everything they can for the sake of it, the team really has done some great things this year for the future. Next year is where the rubber hits the road and we have to show we can push for the playoffs and not with a barely over .500 record.

JB needs to address some holes, and he will, and continue to draft well, and he will. We are 3 years away from being in the discussion for cup contention imho.

Great stuff. Quoted for emphasis.

& a PS..This very temporary lineup(esp D) should only improve our draft-positioning for June.

Good news ...... we ridded ourselves of, our tough guy that never was, Guddy

Bad news ..... we get even more Pouliot now at least until the offseason when he heads to Europe where he belongs

Yes but if it means we can draft Bowen Byram then I am willing to live with some Poo for another 21 games...

Enough is enough.  Call up some plug and show him a video of JP Parise doing his thing.  Professional integrity clearly isn't getting Sutherland to clean up his act; maybe fer for his safety might make him at least attempt to conduct himself appropriately.  Benning really needs to be putting some serious pressure on the NHL to stop assigning this corrupt **** to work our games if they insist on Sutherland's continued employment.
