Id leave him in the SHL one more year. Let him play where he's comfortable and then compete for a Canucks spot the year after.

His stat totals are good for a pro league (7points in 17games), but another year of development there wouldn't hurt

Couldn't hurt, but they could sign him, bring him in for an audition at end of the season and then training camp, and then loan him back to the SHL for the year. That's always an option to sending him to Utica.

Expect him to sign in spring and report to Utica, where he will likely play next season as well. Incredible skillset, give him another year to mature and get stronger. No need to rush him, its possible he gets some time in the NHL next year, but think they will give him more time.

I’m not sure how much stronger he needs to get - he’s 5’9” 190 and a physical trading nut: see at about 1:45 in the video:

True, stronger might not be the right word, it's more about endurance. Going from SHL to north American hockey and an 82 game schedule, plus playoffs, he might need some adjustment time.

Awesome to see the goal rate vs that level of competition at D+1

very promising player for the top 6!

I like his swagger, too. There are lots of guys who think they can and can’t; but before you can you have to think you can - maybe Hogs can both think and do. Bure was like that.

It’s actually 6G + 3A in 19 games.

That's quite a difference between 2 goals and 6 goals. You don't need to score as many points to be considered productive when most of your points are goals. 9 points in 19 games is ok production but 6 goals in 19 games is excellent.
