I think the US is in for a long world of hurt before they see the reduction side of COVID infections given their government structure and how fractured it is.  When various states that border each other are giving completely different instructions to their citizens it creates mayhem.  People will end up dying not just from COVID but possibly from vigilantism when someone shoots an out of state visitor because they don't agree with masks/no masks edict in the neighbouring state.

People in BC have reacted badly to out of province license plates....and we don't carry guns.  Our level of being affronted is leaving a nasty note on someone's windshield.

Even if the Dems win the Nov election, it's going to take a long time to clean up this mess if they can't get all the state leaders on the same page.  Their inability to park the partisan politics for the greater good is terrifying to watch.

think about how deep they're going to be in it when flu season hits n the fall

General Sherman didn’t make Georgia howl loud enough.:P

Friend of mines late father was an engineer that traveled for work a lot.

He was in Atlanta long time ago and they had suggestion box to name a highway.

His dad wrote William T. Sherman on it and dropped it in.

It’s weird the respect some of the Generals fighting each other in the Civil War had for each other....and I’m not referring to Grant & Longstreet who I believe were friends back in their Westpoint days.  Well respected Confederate General Johnston caught a cold possibly because he didn’t wear a hat while being one of Sherman’s pallbearers and later died largely as a result not long after.  He thought that much of Sherman that he didn’t want to disrespect him by covering his head because of the weather on Sherman’s funeral.  The Dems & GOP could take a lesson from that.

Nearly a Thousand COVID-19 Cases Reported in California Day Cares

New data revealed by NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit shows 998 COVID-19 cases in child care facilities across California.  The Investigative Unit documents how two Bay Area child care centers scrambled to prevent outbreaks after learning of COVID-19 positive cases among the kids who attend their facilities.

Sounds like schools are gonna have to close before they ever really re-opened.

When they felt sick the next day, June 25, the whole family got tested.  Everyone was positive for the coronavirus. That meant that the kids could have been spreading the virus at the center as they played with other children the previous day.

Ron DeSantis says that the increase in Florida is because the media "stopped asking questions" about it.....:picard:

Even if that were true (which it isn't) do we really believe that RD and Floridians "forgot" all about COVID 19?

So the Media is to blame for overhyping it, now they're to blame for underhypiing it?  Makes sense.

Without supporting evidence that's a pretty crap comment to make.  What exactly are you referring to?  In your post you referenced an issue in California which one could argue is a vastly different scenario that what we've experienced in BC.  You keep beating the drum about what an awful job BC is doing, yet all indicators show that we have some of the lowest infection rates in the world.

It's too bad you can't find your way out from the morass of negativity you are in.  It's tiresome.  I have blocked you, however I was occasionally checking your posts or would see them when someone else quoted you.  I kept hoping that you might shift a bit away from the constant negativity.  While certainly things in BC are not perfect, we are doing well.  Largely our citizens are demonstrating care and concern for each other and are all doing what we can to slow and contain COVID so we don't have people dying needlessly.

With COVID-19 as with most things, one finds the information to support the narrative one wants to believe.  You seem to want to believe the worst.  Thankfully many others on this forum want to believe better.
