drdeath
The silver lining is that this gives Canada the comfy group for when this tournament has fans again next year. Have to wonder if every single bounce would have gone the States' way if the building was rocking for the entire game
-Vintage Canuck-
Although, second place is better than third place. But I think as a player, winning the bronze medal game must feel better than losing in the gold medal game.
10pavelbure96
In the past I would be so bummed out but we have had so much success at these tourneys it's not a big deal, I've had my fill of international championships as a fan. I want the cup for my nucks, but we all share that.
Dazzle
Honestly, I am fine with the loss. The TSN feed was really bad with the homerism. I think it's karma.

After watching their performances from the earlier games, I thought there was no way they would lose this year. Well, let's give credit to the USA for their outstanding performance; particularly, Spencer Knight. They had an easy draw which I think hurt them by the end.

Apart from that, he wasn't productive offensively. 2
gizmo2337
Well, the USA top few players showed up and made it happen. Congrats to them on the win. As for the Canucks, at least we got to see some of our prospects. We have the top greasy goal scorer in the tournament in the system... Vaseline Potzgoalzin!

We'll get our revenge at the Olympics. Somewhere Jacques Lemaire is smiling. Olympics will be tough. Matthew's Eichel Q Hughes, J Hughes JT Miller Boeser, Kane, Seth Jones etc That will by far be the best team they've ever had

Pickly
I always compare Hockey Canada to New Zealand Rugby and the All Blacks. You expect them to win and when they don’t it’s a major disappointment. That being said, when they do lose, it’s almost a blessing for the game globally as too much of a good thing (winning) sometimes takes away from the game (hockey) as a whole. Canada still reigns as hockey royalty, but you gotta remember without honest competition the game gets predictable and boring. That being said, I really hope the NHL and its players return to the Olympics soon.
