He hasn't played since including 3 home games. He is fully vaccinated. Not sure what part of all of that people don't seem to be understanding. What is it with the anti-Hamonic crowd out there? Are you guys missing all your favourite whipping boys like Virtanen and Loui? Understandable that not all his issues were his fault. If he were making league min, no one would care but it just seems like his head hasn’t been with the team almost immediately after he signed his extension. No one can really know for sure what’s going on in his life, but it just seems like it’s always something new with this guy and the frustration with the fanbase is understandable. Some guys are just living management nightmares, his fault or not, and it wears on a fanbase that would like to see his cap hit allocated otherwise. 1 1

But the issue I have is people keep bringing up his vaccination status as a reason why he is not playing. He was clearly injured in the game against Boston as everyone saw on tv and hasn't played since, including the next 3 home games. From what the Canucks have stated he is now fully vaccinated and was supposed to be on this road trip but had a setback, which does happen to injured players. 1 1

I they can win more than 2 games I'll consider it a victory, as long as they look competitive. Then come back home and feast on some western conference teams and leapfrog in to the playoffs! No worries Bruce faced them plenty when he was with Washington. So easy peasy

combover
Canucks hockey , could it be …. Well Bruce got some practice time. The Team should be pumped. “that’s a good team over there “ Our boys need a strong 60 -65 minute performance from the net out to win this one. should be a good test.

Lol. 6 hours ago, khay said: That cap-recapture has somewhat tainted an image of otherwise world class goalie in the minds of many Canucks fans. I still love Luongo. His arrival signaled the end of that suffocating goalie graveyard era. He was like a breath of fresh air. And since then, our goaltending has always been our strength. I will always love the guy for what he did on and sometimes more importantly, off the ice on our team. It’s not his fault the league are greedy corrupt bastards and decided to make special rules that only we have to follow. You’ve got to be able to separate the two or else you under appreciate not only one of the best all time goalies ever and Olympic gold medalist, but one of the best goalies the Canucks have ever had. Without Luongo do we even go on the vaunted Stanley cup run with the Sedins? There were so many spectacular unbelievable saves he made while he was with us. Luongo deserves our respect and love without stipulations imo. The league on the other hand can go to hell. 1 1 1 2 1

Listening to Miller on Donnie and Dahli and he thinks as he gets older, playing C suits him. If Miller wants to step up and be our #1 C while Pettersson works through his problems and tries to get his groove back then I love this guy even more now.

Time to look at some trade scenarios with him. Dont need players that aren’t fully committed. Just like when there was controversy on here surrounding Hamonic vaccine status we shouldn’t assume anything until we know what’s going on. We don’t know what happened. I hope he overcomes whatever his set back is to play with us again sooner then later. That all said I’m definitely not opposed to trading him depending on the return and who we’d get to replace him as the 4-6 ish D man.

I love Lou, and nobody can blame him for making a great deal for himself while he was the best goalie in hockey. The league changed the rules on Canucks management and then penalized them for violating a rule that did not exist at the time they negotiated Lou's contract. It was a total BS move by the league, and has seriously hurt this team. 1
KyGuy123
Can we terminate Sutters contact at this point? How was he even medically cleared to sign a contract? Hamonic as well, how were either of these guys signed in the off-season without due diligence being performed. That $4.15 million and two contact spots that could easily been producing for us.
