this team is missing that angry defenceman that would straight up flatten the other teams forward.. where's the energy line? one that goes out crash and bang? JR/PA biggest mistake is going all in on offense and not give a f about defence.. that 5mil on mikhayev would have looked real good on a defenceman. like it or not this team misses myers. missing 11mil on ur roster in a cap salary era ain't going to get u anywhere. we don't have the youth or depth to overcome.

You can't just "blow up" a team that has OEL on the books for 6 years, Miller for 9, Garland and Mikheyev for 4, etc.

The worst part of all this is we are wasting a vezina calibre goalie on a great cap hit.

Garland is moveable. But OEL is a dead contract. Maybe there is someone who wants miller.

IN terms of demko, we not wasting him if we trade him for assets loool.

can we maybe relax and see how this team does when we aren't missing 3 of our 6 defensemen, including the two RD that are supposed to be our "best"?

It has nothing to do with missing defenceman. Putting them back in the lineup is not going to cause them to stop choking away multiple goal leads.

In before Horvat says this effort was unacceptable. I've counted at least 5 times since last season where he's said that. Newsflash, if you keep having to say it, it probably means you've become somewhat tolerant of it.

Same old story, team has no backbone, no discipline, no semblance of ability to adhere to a defensive structure. It goes way beyond coaching at this point, it's a deep rot within the core players of this team. They're all talk and no work when it really matters.

They really should sell hard on Horvat, Boeser, Miller et al, but the market for all three is probably dead. Even if it wasn't, who really thinks Aquilini is gonna show enough patience to properly restructure this team? Dude couldn't manage frickin' blueberry farms without having abuse of workers claims come out, there's no way he's fit to oversee a comptent hockey organization.

Yup if he can't manage his family! How can he manage the franchise.  It's the only thing he can do. Because at home he IS the whipping boy.

So there's a 0% chance our defensive problems are going to be somewhat improved on by getting 2 of our "top 4" defensemen back?

id say theres a shot
