You mean he would have left if offered a coaching job, I do not think so.

But you don't know. We can speculate till the cows come home, but we only KNOW what what's reported. There was never anything reported about Walker being considered or even wanting the head coaching position.

Very true. However, speculation abounds on this site so... Also, if I remember correctly, he went looking for greener pastures after BB agreed to another year.

Good comeback tonight.  Was looking pretty gloomy when they were down a couple to the Champs, especially with the trade winds swirling around the club last 48 hours.  At this point, we take it A Game at a time. We have seen this too many times this season to get overly excited.

With all the crazy comebacks this season, starting to remind me of that song from Chumbawamba years back - they get knocked down but they get up again.

Hope for more consistent play moving forward starting with the next game.

No more pregame skates ever again!! :towel:

The champ has spoken!

Seriously, try it! It'd be a huge change to have your mornings off every game day, and it could mean the boys show up in a better state of mind for the game. I know I prefer not being at work to being at work, no matter how much I enjoy my work :)

I love the World Juniors.  Again they won gold, which suggests, again, Canadian players are generally the best; lots of skill, good defense and lots of grit. It makes me wonder if part of our problem is that we don't target enough Canadians. Somebody on here must know how many Canadians we have vs other countries of origin. I know we have a lot of Americans and their lack of passion in the World Juniors lost them a chance at gold.  And their babyish attitude when they lost to Canada vs that of Slovakia and Czechia said something about who they are.

Most recent article, most teams are majority canadian. Boston is not.

Elias Pettersson is currently on pace for 99 points.

Bo Horvat is currently on pace for 60 goals.

The Canucks are 31st in goals against, only Anaheim is worse.

The Canucks are currently on pace to not make the playoffs.  Maybe JR needs to invest in a defenceman or two...

I am to much the pessimist these days. I watch young #11 Guenther for Team Canada score the Gold medal winning goal and realize he was the 1st Rdr we gave up to get OEL. Yes, totally unfair assumptions and all that. Bottom line IMHO is that the last things the Canucks need to do right now is actually win hockey games. Ideally the team goes on a scoring binge to raise the value of the trade pieces but still lose the games! My mindset is total dive. :(
