His cap hit is fine, the cap will be a lot higher in the last years of his contract. Very happy to have this gamer here. Look at it this way, If the Canucks were getting picks and not players, they'd have to be 1sts/2nds to be worth it. Pens didn't have any extra in the first two rounds for the next couple of seasons, so at best they would have been spread out to get two 1sts. And if they did give that up, without us retaining anything significant, management here takes that and runs while spending the next week or so looking for a stop gap at least to help the team this year. Can always find someone in UFA and then draft/develop.
