Popular Post Bob.Loblaw
It's now clear as day that we are very close to the end for Bruce. It has just made my blood boil just how poorly he's been mistreated by ownership and management this year. I hate the Canucks for what they're doing right now. It is legitimately embarrassing to support this team and how the front office conducts itself. Say what you want about Bruce's coaching ability - but he has never thrown any of our players under the bus. Shame on anyone who tries to defend what's transpired here. The entire hockey community is looking down on Vancouver over this. Mods, if this post lacks substance, feel free to merge it to one of the other ones. It's an emotional post that'll likely get washed away real soon when the coach inevitably gets fired. 13 4 1 1

stawns
I never wanted him in Van and I'm looking fwd to him being gone, but I agree completely. How they are treating him is beyond disrespect
Popular Post Coconuts
Honestly though, the way management and ownership are treating Bruce isn't going unnoticed by media around the league, or by players or fans of other teams. It's not just Canucks fans who think the way he's being treated is shit. It's embarrassing that we'd trot out a coach with his record, longevity, and obvious passion for the game as a dead man walking day after day. He deserves better than this even if he hasn't been able to get winning results from the roster this season. 3 2 1
Popular Post King Heffy
There is no excuse for allowing Rutherford to continue to disgrace the franchise with his refusal to act like a professional. This is approaching the Keenan era and this management group cannot be made to believe that they are welcome here. 1 2 2
Popular Post Locke Lamora
Agree with the premise of the this thread wholeheartedly. That Rutherford, a Hall of Famer, is conducting things in this manner is stunning to be honest. 1 2
Popular Post Alflives
Our owner travelled to Vegas to hire Tocchet, while Bruce is here. And Tocchet had give a four week notice at his current job before he could leave. One would think our owner would allow management to fire Bruce as soon as he signed Tocchet. Let Yoe coach for the interim. Makes no sense how our owner handled this. 7
Popular Post Crabcakes
Blame ownership for not telling JR that Boudreau had an option for a 2nd year. Plus its cock eyed for the owner to have hired the coach before hiring upper management (who would normally hire the coach). Suffice to say, this is a typical example of how the Aquilini empire is run. The good news is that JR is capable of keeping the reins on ownership and making sure that they keep in their lane. 4

Remember he’s the guy who went to Vegas to meet with Tocchet. JR was only there to carry the owner’s bags.
Popular Post fanfor42
Canuck coach Boudreau has been a fan favorite. He came in last year and single handedly gave the players back their pride as he coached them to a terrific rebound and nearly made the playoffs. His reward was JR the crappy old jerk saying that he didn't like the team's lack of defensive structure. In reality - what he didn't like was a popular coach that he didn't choose. What have JR an Allvin done other than tear down the coach, leave Bo in limbo, extend Miller and create a gawdawful mess that Canuck fans are embarassed by. I have had season tickets for a long time but that is it for me. While these jerks are in charge I am not going to be buying season tickets again. Plus the $24 beers and the shoddy way this management has ignored season ticket holders and all fans. If these guys fire BB and bring in Rick (worst resume in the NHL) Tocchet................- SEE YA LATER. 1 3

How has JR shown he’s doing things differently than what Aquilini wants? JR is a puppet. He has free reign to make deals, but only as long as they are within the parameters prescribed by Aquilini. True fans hate all other teams. Our owner might be handling the BB situation badly, but that’s no reason to cheer for another team. I don’t like JR too, but definitely not going to cheer for the Bruins, or Habs or any other team. IMHAO that’s not a true fan who can jump ship. True fans are with their team and only their team. They may hate their owner and management and even some players, but the will always love their team and hate all others. 1

He said himself that he was acting as advisor to Allvin. I put the blame of signing Miller before Horvat on Allvin. All else has been fine in my books. What we don't know is how negotiations went back when neither Miller nor Horvat were signed. Maybe Horvat was asking too much and they thought that at the end of the day, they had better have one of them signed rather than lose both. That's a scenario that was run on 650 FWIW.
