Hope we see some Hirose, McDonough and a Petey point. Burroughs is a +9 in his last 5 games, that's nuts...still -4 on the season though. He's played well and right now deserves the bottom pairing RD slot as 6th man.

Hoping for a Demko clinic tonight. Will be good to see Gavrikov first hand, I've watched a lot of his games and boy is he a big strong D man, the type we're lacking. Hope he doesn't rough our stars up too much. Their solid team D and subsequently goaltending is exactly how we need to play.

We have 7 games remaining and we’re at 75 points, tied with Detroit and 1 point behind St Louis. Philedelphia is currently sitting 7th overall in the draft, and they have 4 less points than us in the same amount of games.

If we go below .500 in the remaining 7 games, good chance we pick 7th or 8th overall. If we go around .500, we can “slip” to about 8th-10th overall, and if we go on a heater the last remaining games, then we will be picking outside the top 10.

So basically, go either below .500 or hover around .500 for the next 7 games and we will be picking between 7th-9th overall, assuming teams around us more or less stay around .500 themselves.

98% chance we are mathematically eliminated tonight.

We win, Winnipeg wins their next game and Bob's your uncle, everyone is happy all around.

By the way, who is this Bob and how did he become everyone's uncle?

Here is an interesting story. I was, via my lizard brain, vaguely aware that the Canucks are winning draws as well (or better) post Horvat ("PH") as with Horvat ("WH").

I don't know about you, or the Team Tankers (which by the way I do hope the Canucks now finish in the 5 - 8 range given playoffs are officially over once Winnipeg gets one more win) ... but I really want the Canucks to win 2 more games this year (Calgary and this one).

That "Team Like That" should be a battle cry every time Doughboy steps onto the ice in a Kings Uniform. Feel free to lob beer in his general direction if you are fortunate enough to be sitting within spitting distance of the Kings bench.

Just Kidding, verbal abuse is fine (mostly) but please don't physically abuse anyone (no matter how deserving they maybe) at a Canucks game at any time.

Canucks troll Drew Doughty with "Team Like That" T-shirts

I have been saying his name all season. He needs to play. He blocks shots. Plays PK. Plays tough. He also has some O awareness as he looks for deflection with his shot or gets his shot through.

By the way, who is this Bob and how did he become everyone's uncle?

In 1887, British Prime Minister Robert Gascoyne-Cecil appointed his nephew Arthur James Balfour as Minister for Ireland. The phrase 'Bob's your uncle' was coined when Arthur referred to the Prime Minister as 'Uncle Bob'. Apparently, it's very simple to become a minister when Bob's your uncle!

Many defencemen develop later.  That 's a reality.  I think Burroughs fits into that mold.  He has taken steps forward since his arrival. I just hope (and I would assume they do) that Tocchet, and upper management recognizes this as well.  It would be so stupid to be lucky enough to find such value, for the price, and then just fritter it away.

But so far, as Daliwal tweeted, while the Canucks are working to find deals for all the new D they have been bringing in, there has been zero communication with Kyle's agent on a re-signing. <_<

I read that and I think it is terrible. He could fill so many roles.

Use to watch him play at the Town Pump back in the 90's!

Tocchet was just on SN360 intermission (Bruins-Blues) and they asked who could be the next captain. Without hesitation, Quinn Hughes was his answer. Kind of expecting Hughes to be donning the C next season.

I see signs that they're trending toward this recently.

It's pretty much decided in my view.

Too bad, I think JT is the perfect candidate in every respect but....whatever. We have A's and we'll have a C so just add a B for him to wear. Best/beast.

Hughes? Interesting. I’m guessing most fans would be thinking Petey.
