DownUndaCanuck
Hope we see some Hirose, McDonough and a Petey point. Burroughs is a +9 in his last 5 games, that's nuts...still -4 on the season though. He's played well and right now deserves the bottom pairing RD slot as 6th man. Hoping for a Demko clinic tonight. Will be good to see Gavrikov first hand, I've watched a lot of his games and boy is he a big strong D man, the type we're lacking. Hope he doesn't rough our stars up too much. Their solid team D and subsequently goaltending is exactly how we need to play.
Odd.
We have 7 games remaining and we’re at 75 points, tied with Detroit and 1 point behind St Louis. Philedelphia is currently sitting 7th overall in the draft, and they have 4 less points than us in the same amount of games. If we go below .500 in the remaining 7 games, good chance we pick 7th or 8th overall. If we go around .500, we can “slip” to about 8th-10th overall, and if we go on a heater the last remaining games, then we will be picking outside the top 10. So basically, go either below .500 or hover around .500 for the next 7 games and we will be picking between 7th-9th overall, assuming teams around us more or less stay around .500 themselves. 98% chance we are mathematically eliminated tonight. Rocket-68
Here is an interesting story. I was, via my lizard brain, vaguely aware that the Canucks are winning draws as well (or better) post Horvat ("PH") as with Horvat ("WH"). https://canucksarmy.com/news/how-canucks-managed-good-faceoffs-post-horvat-era Short Version Individual Faceoff Records with Horvat Games Faceoffs Taken Overall Faceoff % NHL Rank EV Faceoff % PP Faceoff % PK Faceoff% O-Zone Faceoff% N-Zone Faceoff% D-Zone Faceoff% 49 2816 49.5% 20th 48.6% 62.0% 43.6% 51.8% 47.2% 49.2% Games Faceoffs Taken Overall Faceoff % NHL Rank EV Faceoff % PP Faceoff % PK Faceoff% O-Zone Faceoff% N-Zone Faceoff% D-Zone Faceoff% 26 1425 49.4% 19th 49.2% 61.2% 40.1% 50.7% 46.6% 50.5% Games Faceoffs Taken % of Team Faceoffs Overall Faceoff % EV % PP % PK % OZ % NZ % DZ % Horvat 49 1116 39.6% 56.0% 55.2% 65.4% 48.0% 60.0% 53.4% 53.3% Pettersson 47 552 19.6% 43.5% 43.5% 66.7% 40.0% 43.5% 40.2% 47.2% Miller 49 249 8.8% 51.0% 52.5% 25.0% 41.7% 47.6% 52.6% 52.8% Dries 30 243 8.6% 51.9% 51.7% 52.9% 50.0% 51.2% 48.4% 57.4% Lazar 39 224 7.9% 50.0% 52.0% 100.0% 23.8% 54.2% 48.2% 49.5% Aman 35 217 7.7% 35.9% 36.1% 33.3% 33.3% 34.0% 39.2% 32.9% Studnicka 30 76 2.7% 47.4% 47.1% 33.3% 100.0% 50.0% 50.0% 40.9% Individual Faceoff Records Post-Horvat Games Faceoffs Taken % of Team Faceoffs Overall Faceoff % EV % PP % PK % OZ % NZ % DZ % Miller 25 516 38.3% 56.0% 57.0% 64.2% 44.1% 60.2% 55.8% 51.6% Pettersson 26 367 25.7% 44.7% 45.2% 47.6% 34.8% 38.4% 41.7% 54.4% Aman 26 217 15.2% 39.6% 41.3% 33.3% 22.2% 48.6% 37.8% 38.0% Dries 26 169 11.9% 49.1% 48.3% 58.3% 50.0% 48.2% 46.0% 53.9% Studnicka 10 46 3.2% 45.7% 46.5% — 33.3% 33.3% 50.0% 46.7% Lazar 6 34 2.4% 64.7% 65.5% — 60.0% 100.0% 58.3% 63.2% Boeser 26 25 1.8% 64.0% 57.9% 83.3% — 66.7% 42.9% 100.0%

That "Team Like That" should be a battle cry every time Doughboy steps onto the ice in a Kings Uniform. Feel free to lob beer in his general direction if you are fortunate enough to be sitting within spitting distance of the Kings bench. Just Kidding, verbal abuse is fine (mostly) but please don't physically abuse anyone (no matter how deserving they maybe) at a Canucks game at any time.

By the way, who is this Bob and how did he become everyone's uncle? In 1887, British Prime Minister Robert Gascoyne-Cecil appointed his nephew Arthur James Balfour as Minister for Ireland. The phrase 'Bob's your uncle' was coined when Arthur referred to the Prime Minister as 'Uncle Bob'. Apparently, it's very simple to become a minister when Bob's your uncle! 1

He has taken steps forward since his arrival. I just hope (and I would assume they do) that Tocchet, and upper management recognizes this as well. It would be so stupid to be lucky enough to find such value, for the price, and then just fritter it away. But so far, as Daliwal tweeted, while the Canucks are working to find deals for all the new D they have been bringing in, there has been zero communication with Kyle's agent on a re-signing. 1

Popular Post Nucker 67
Tocchet was just on SN360 intermission (Bruins-Blues) and they asked who could be the next captain. Without hesitation, Quinn Hughes was his answer. Kind of expecting Hughes to be donning the C next season. 1 4

Too bad, I think JT is the perfect candidate in every respect but....whatever. We have A's and we'll have a C so just add a B for him to wear. Best/beast.
