We move Miller and it’s to Columbus for 3OA and Carlsson.
Habs can suck pucks. They want Garland to go with Caufield and Michkov.

I would love for us to trade up and get who we want.

Miller I just don't know if he will be able to get us what we want.

I hope it works out and we move up.

If Canucks trade Miller big hole at #2 C?? Not easy to find 75 point players like Miller

Then Canucks have to find 2nd and 3rd line centers.. Big troubles then..

Already have #1 Petey #2 Miller so awesome have two top centres.

In what world does Montreal give up prime assets for a player THEY KNOW is signing with them in 12 months? They are in no rush whatsoever, the fans want a proper rebuild.

since we're dreaming here...

JT to Columbus for #3---- draft Carlsson

Beauville + Meyers + #11 to Montreal for #5 ---- draft Michkov

all our ltir's to Arizona for #12 ----draft Willander

might need a little tweaking though

Dreaming or tweaking as this looks more like a drug fuelled proposal.  None of those deals are close to realistic.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see PLD traded with an extension to another team. I think Montreal has interest but they aren’t going to overpay for him considering his contract demands.   If someone else bids more gir him I think Hughes is prepared to walk away

Hughes has been a very methodical and patient GM that has seized opportunities and hasn't knee-jerk reacted. There is no way he's going to give up any significant assets to acquire a player that has already stated wants to sign as a UFA with his team. PLD will be traded, but it'll be as a rental to a team that won't have long term plans for him. As for extension talks, Montreal has the cap space, and he fits perfectly in the age range of their core. Unless his contract demands are exorbitant and ridiculous, it's practically a done deal. The worst kept secret in the NHL.

I agree with your assessment of Hughes.  But disagree that it’s a forgone conclusion he ends up in Montreal. He and Brisson have said they’ll work with the Jets on a list of 5-6 teams he’d be willing to do a sign and trade with.  The Only reason to do a sign and trade is to get the 8th year on the contract. He could end up on another team long term and co side ting he wants $9m a year I suspect Hughes is fine with that.

I'll agree to disagree with you on the foregone conclusion part. I think it's in the player's and the agent's best interest to proceed as they have, but it's merely an illusion. They want to maximize the value they get in negotiations with Montreal.

I could completely be wrong, but to me, it's pretty much a done deal.
