oldnews
How was that weak? It was a fluttering and partially screened shot - go cheer for the Oilers please. what a filthy thing to type Heretic
2SKATES1STICK
that's the veteran leadership we need from juice takes a brilliant penalty late to turn the momentum as he knows were better on the pk than 5 on 5 ha what a beauty
FireGillis
Like he made those clutch stops against Dallas and Ottawa in crunch time? Those two wins in eight games are impressive bro. Nah what's impressive is you think wins are a goalie stat instead of a team stat. Niemi had the 3rd most wins last year. Is he the 3rd best goalie in the league in your mind? Is he even a top ten goalie?

Brad Marchand
So who won the game? Half of you people are saying the offense bailed Miller out, the rest of you are saying that Miller bailed out the offense. Isn't it entirely possible that they were both partially responsible for the W? They didn't lose 7-0. I guess it's nice to be critiquing a win instead of a loss. Gstank29
I play goalie and the reason it upsets me so much is because he gives up his fundementals on his weak goals. Things you're taught at a young age. A technical goalie would not allow those goals in. Be aggressive to the shooter, he wasn't going to walk in on you, and cover your short side post when the puck is five feet away from it. It's easy goaltending. So lets throw you in front for 70 MPH shots and see how you hold up......... its the NHL players can score from anywhere on the ice not Beer league where there lucky if they hit the net

Is he the 3rd best goalie in the league in your mind? Is he even a top ten goalie? What I'm saying is there's a reason Miller has won most of his games. If the game is tight, he does not allow in a game-winning goal typically. He's great in crunch time.
desiboynux4lifee*******
A-lot of moves need to be made. When I look at this team I see Sedin Sedin Vrabta ----- Bonino Vey ------- Richardson ----- Hansen Horvat Dorsett On defence Edler Tanev Bieska ------ --------- Sbisa
1-d
It was a nice win and a huge pressure reliever, but we can't keep sitting back and letting teams to come back like tonight. It's been the team's worst habit for the last couple of seasons. We may still come up on top when we play the likes of oilers and flames and sabres, but have absolutely zero chance against kings, ducks and hawks of the world in the top of the food chain. I hope Willie D pats the players on the back for a W, but still let them know they must shake off the bad habits to keep it going.
wallstreetamigo
Who said that? We have 2 really good goalies IMHO. Since the 2011 SCF, this team's main issue has been offense. Vrbata has helped - but we need way more. That and terrible defensive play
wai_lai416
I can't think of another hockey city maybe Toronto that goes after their own goalie after a win and only 2 goals against making over 93% of the saves regardless of how the goal went in.. If we lost then maybe.. But wow some canucks fans are almost as bad as the laffs fan if not worse

Canorth
Do you actually watch the Canucks play? Only in Vancouver would someone save 94% of his shots tonight, win 17 of 23 games, yet somehow there's a controversy. Do I watch Vancouver play? That s your response? I never said anything bad about Miller, never have. Just trying to understand why your here bashing Lack in a game that he wasn't even playing in. KoreanHockeyFan
Miller was fine today. Hopefully this win will inject some confidence into his game and he can start playing like a consistent 6 million dollar goaltender from here on out. Defence is clearly still shaky and the team overall seems to have problems rebounding after getting scored against. Maybe this is the win they need to gain some confidence back. One thing for sure though is that losing this one would have been detrimental from a mental standpoint for the Canucks. Not going to lie, if the Canucks lost this one, nightmares from last season would have defintely started to creep in.
Jack Fig
Like he made those clutch stops against Dallas and Ottawa in crunch time? Those two wins in eight games are impressive bro. You just mentioned 2 games where Lack had a combined 93% save percentage. The same 93% save percentage you're crowing about with Miller tonight. Just trying to understand why your here bashing Lack in a game that he wasn't even playing in. Where have I bashed Lack? I have watched Lack since he got called up. He doesn't tend to make the save when it's needed most from what I have seen. That's my opinion. He's a great back-up. I don't think he will thrive as a starter.
