TheRussianRocket.
http://canucks.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8477589@OD_Pitarresi: Not confirmed, but ... Comets winger Ronalds Kenins likely headed to Vancouver Canucks for a while. @OD_Pitarresi: Kenins is 5-7-12, plus 6 in 36 games. Rugged ball of muscle. Member of Latvian national team. Plays smart. Take this as Dorsett is out for a bit. Sucks that no one stood up for him and Kesler getting no fine/suspension was just salt in the wound. Hope Derek gets well soon, great guy! As for this move, really excited about it! Been wanting to see Kenins ever since his play at the Olympics. Potential regular bottom sixer. Fairly big body at 6'0" 200lbs, plays a fundamental game and is intelligent on the ice. Pretty much all I know about him, would be nice if someone else with more knowledge could give is some insight on what else he brings to the table. Kind of odd Jensen got overlooked but understandable. Kenins has more toughness and he deserves a shot anyways. Hope he gets some games and isn't just called to the pressbox
Bissurnette
Interesting choice to go with but I have no issues with it. Hopefully he brings some toughness, tenacity and energy to a stale looking team
Nicklas Bo Hunter
stupid move.... literally so many better choices.
aGENT
Nice, I've been wanting to see him As for the "why him over Jensen"... He better fills Dorsett's role and Jensen has been slumping.
Honeydew
stupid move.... literally so many better choices. How is it stupid? Dorsett is a bottom 6 player which we needed to replace for the time being, Kenins is a good call up since he brings speed, toughness, grit, as well he's played against men in latvia so why don't we give this kid a chance? AriGold
I like it, something new. Some players can flourish in the NHL and not in the AHL.. Hopefully he can play with speed, finish his hits and get to the front of the net.
Mike Vanderhoek
Seems like the right player to fit in while Dorsett is out.
TOMapleLaughs
Interesting we called up a grinder after WD's assessment on 4-line scoring last post-game was less than favourable. But good for him to get the call. Just comes down to having some guys who will hit the other odd guy. Good luck Ronalds.

Nicklas Bo Hunter
Also just scratching my head. Benning says Jensen could be the top 6 forward they are looking for but yet won't call him up when a spot is open? lol just weird. Then again maybe a team wants to see Kennis who knows I guess. Robongo
Grenier, Archibald, Defazzio hell even Gaunce as a wing are all better choices. Lol, no, no they're not. Kenins has earned the call up. Hansen 2.
RonMexico
Grenier, Archibald, Defazzio hell even Gaunce as a wing are all better choices. Why? Because you said so?
Fred65
I have no idea about Kenins style. I suspect as he is a FA soon, I guess they want to find out if he has a future in the league. I'd like to see Grneier get a chnace to, he also needs resigning soon
sting
I get that they are replacing Dorsett, but what happened to JB saying that Nik Jensen might be the top 6 forward they need. I would have preferred to see Jensen. Might have spiked his indifferent game as of late. Liked Kenins at the Olympics......looking forward to seeing where he fits long term, and as an NHLer. Warhippy
Kenins called up over Jensen, Gaunce, Archibald, Grenier, Defazzio. Jensen, Gaunce, Archibald, Grenier and Defazzio are either all busts or being traded. Am I CDC'ing right?
Nicklas Bo Hunter
Lol, no, no they're not. Kenins has earned the call up. Hansen 2.0 Look at the stats and almost all of those players have NHL experiance already (Idk why grenier has not been giving a chance.) Archibald was awsome for us as a fourth liner so yes he would be a better option than a guy with meh stats and no nhl experience

Warhippy
Honestly I am a bit confused over this choice of call up but at the same time I really want to see what Kenins has at the NHL level.
