good read.  quick comment on the article though, older player doesn't necessarily = mentor.  Of course we don't know what he says in the room and he might in fact be a mentor in some peoples' eyes but again age and leadership ability are not parallel.  I mean would you want Andrew "Middle Finger to the Crowd" Ference as your leader?  He was named captain of the Oil when he was around but wasn't necessarily the best role model for the young players there.

It's amazing how much better the West is right now. 11/14 teams out West are above .500 right now while only 7/16 out East are.

Canucks are doing pretty damn good and sit 6th in the West. Out East they'd be tied for 1st with PITT.
