      Ghostsof1915

Despite Clockwork Orange. I still love classical music.

Because I've got Fantasia to fall back on.

I don't watch TV, so I don't give a damn about Squid Game.

      Nucker 67

The Silence of the Lambs for me. Hannibal in his cell.

Bailey is basically the Lee Goren of this generation but he is fast instead of being really slow.

  5. Youtube disabled the dislikes on all videos.

Here’s a bag.  Hope that makes you feel better!  I’d throw you a Loui too, but it’s not a two-for one day.

I was practicing my one timer and I had a few minutes to log into CDC for you...  :)

  7. Are there restaurants around Granville not named McDonalds that are open past 11pm nowadays, or do they all close then because Covid comes out to play at that time?

      MacDonald's is a restaurant?

    3. Ghostsof1915

      Technically yes.

If you classify what they serve as food. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. Apparently Denny's does close at 11 which I had been meaning to try 'late night' because I've never done Denny's. I'm more liquor kind of guy; crack has never tickled my pickle. And in the end we didn't bother eat after we were done with festivities. We stuffed our faces before and I probably put on 3lbs.

  8. 20,000 posts. Do I get rewarded with a bottle of scotch, or a thing of that nature?

20,000 posts and all I got was toilet paper... which was the hottest commodity March 2020.

  9. So I disabled Facebook days ago. I don't feel any more "free" like some people report. I guess I wasn't addicted to it. I haven't felt a need to go back to it.

Maybe try this experiment: turn off CDC for a few days and see if you feel more free and report to us. :P

I use Facebook very regularly, but don't suspect I'd feel much different without it.

Pushing too hard. Computer software. Lesson learned: use fake contact credentials. But this was for a fairly general webinar.. that had nothing to do with anything they were selling, at least on the surface, although they had a pitch at the end for their own product.

Well, they get a ladder and place it against a house, and then go up the ladder.

Once they get to the top of the ladder, they step on the roof, and look up to the sky and curse whatever god they believe in for a minute, especially if they're a gingy.

Depending on your provider you can get a call control feature that acts like a 'I am not a robot' button for your phone.

    2. Ghostsof1915

I had one day with 4 calls. A week later 1 day 2 calls.

Thanks everyone. Happy Birthday to you as well, T Mac. Mine is much the same way - it's an ordinary day to me for the most part - has been that way since late high school. I'm always welcoming but if not much happens, that is fine, I don't care to do much for it or expect it

IT .. started out doing everything from networking to servers to end user to configuring computers.. now it's mostly cloud stuff - Exchange & azure.

  20. Fun fact: there are still 100,000 payphones throughout the US. As long as they maintain a 3 call a day average, they remain in commission.

  21. Is there a way of verifying customs/duty fees for bringing something across the border? Or does it vary on every item? Talking about electronics here.

Fwiw, that 45-50% includes exchange. Occasionally itll be slightly less than 40% all said and done but calculating at +45% is usually a good baseline to work from.

Thanks for all that. In the end it was cheaper to go local as possible thru Newegg. Even with their duty and shipping fees I got my computer under $1900. Through the States it was going to likely be over $2000.

I'm still ashamed the so-called fans who attended the game in Vancouver boo'd Team Canada & basically cheered for the Red Army.
