      I was quite surprised nothing happened today. The Ducks and the Wild have very good young defensemen they stand to lose. Jets, Lightning and others will lose decent forwards. I just can`t see them losing these players for nothing.

      theres still tonight and tomorrow until 3pm EST before its locked down just for Vegas deals. 

       

      Maybe GMs are just going to wait Vegas out and make remaining trades on the 22nd and on draft day?

    What NHL award are you most interested in?  I've always liked to see who wins the Selke

    What's CDC's policy on warning points?  Not that I'm in any danger, but shouldn't warning points be deleted after X amount of time e.g 3-4 years?

      My favourite is my Trevor Linden Chunky Soup stick.  It only took me 5 soup labels to get that one.

    Who are some of the best current defensive zone Dmen in your opinion?

      Joel Edmundson leads the NHL in +/-, but it's not stat, it's an indicator. 

      Given he's +24 and only 9 points, that's a good indicator.

       

      Chara is +15, but only has 9 points as well. He might be showing wear and tear, but he's a damn good defender.

    Who are some of your favorite power forwards left in the draft?

      Ryan McLeod. 6'2, 206lbs. Skates like the wind and is dominating physical player. Just needs to find his scoring. Could be more of a top 9 shutdown guy.

    Who hits harder: Edler or Gudbranson?  My vote goes to Edler.  When he hits it looks like he hits through guys whereas ive seen Gudbranson many times bounce off his own hits

      Edler. He's a heavier player, on top of seeming to know how to hit as well better than Guddy. There's something to be said for hitting technique. It's why guys like Cooke and Kronwall could hit so hard. Gudbranson is a big guy who's a decent fighter and decent hitter, but he's no Byfuglien.

      I'd say Edler as well, however Eddies hits are always akward, and there are times he takes the worst of it and takes himself out entirely.  Its like he glides in, tenses the body up and hopes for the best.

    Who is good at breaking down stats?  One thing Id like to see is goals scored relative to the context of the game i.e game winners are obviously very important goals vs scoring a goal in 1-4 loss or scoring the fifth goal in a 5-2 win.  Im curious how Boeser’s goal scoring breaks down in this context.

      Not many advanced sites places. You should check out the app StatMuse if you want to find this like GWG, SHG, etc. you can just straight up search your question in that app.

      I used to love hockey-reference, but a lot of their best stats are now behind a paywall, which is unfortunate. The timing worked out reasonably well though as it aligned with when NHL.com made a huge upgrade to their stats.

    Why is it impossible to find a shorter (aprox 50” or less) 1” barbell?  I want to do some DL’s or bent over rows at home with the 1” plates I have.  I see a lot of EZ curl bars for sale but I want a straight bar

    With some of the trade chatter going around, it’ll be interesting to see what sort of plan management has in mind.  Lots of current roster players that I bet* dont want to see the team take a step back. Player trades could have some disastrous consequences if they dont pan out.

    With the Canucks presumably in the toilet for this season, I REALLY hope they announce a Diablo IV release date soon.

    Wrote a massive [proposal] then thought forget it - Ill see if mgmt actually does anything.  I did think my Pearson to LAK (1 million retained) was a good idea tho.

      Pearson is no on Long term injury.  If we hold on to him until next season, his UFA year, he will actually have value (likely a fourth rounder) at the 2024 TDL.  We should have done this with Dickinson too.  Aquilini must allow rebuilding moves.  Keep our craperolla, overpaid older guys until their UFA years and trade them for assets, instead of giving up assets (and our future) to dumperoo them early.  We stink in thenow, so what’s the point of moves that aren’t intended to build for a better future.

      LAK has no room at F and will likely have to move out a winger this off-season.  Pearson also far too slow.  Kings have become a really fast team.

      Blake also insists on age fit - Pearson too old for the players they are building around.

      Nobody wants Pearson even though some on here thinks he is an asset to Vancouver and actually has value.  I am pretty sure JR was trying to trade him in the summer with no takers.  As Alf said, maybe we can unload him at the 2024 TDL for a pick.
